  1. Hi John 4 of them were mine the rest are my flying buddys we had 11 models that day all in the back of the VW estate bit of a squeeze, flew them all except one the Playboy, my Astro Hog was given to me as the previous owner thought it was fuel soaked only took a couple of evenings to sort out flies really well it currently has a ASP 61 in the front other engines include SC 91 four stroke and a Merco 61 all capable of towing the large glider in front of the collection.
  2. Evening all, my first time as well, John was the Astro Hog towing a yellow glider? If so then it was mine, very relaxed days flying and only 2 hours to get home!
  3. Thanks David that’s good to know, hopefully we can meet sometime
  4. Morning all, I would like to know if I need to be a member of SAM35 to fly at Cocklebarrow this September? I do have BMFA insurance B certificate
  5. Hi all, Thanks for the info i have know sorted the problem, as David pointed out know plugged servos in to correct channels, flapsworking ok this however has caused another problem, i have know got to try and get Aux 3 working for the gear switch to operate the tow release, thanks again all. Steve
  6. thanks Denis, yes you are correct with Y lead but i need to have separate channels for servo reversing and trmming. the servos are allready installed and work opposite as opposed to travelling same way could as last resort buy servo reverser, just seems a waste when i could use the programming on TX ( if i knew how to use it!) Thanks again
  7. Hi all, I’m trying to set up flap servos on a T 240 that I have just refurbished l have set my DX8 to 2 ailerons & 2 flaps in wing type the switch has been set to flap switch. I have plugged 1 servo into Aux 2 and the other in to Aux 3, Aux 2 works fine but there is no response from Aux 3, seems like I have missed something in the programing, would anyone know a way round this? Spectrum manual is very vague. Many thanks Steve
  8. Thanks Colin, just ordered one From Rotobirds very reasonable price. Steve.
  9. Evening all, just interested to find out if any one uses lemon rx with the new ( 12 months old ) Spectrum Dx 7 DSMX, looking at Lemons web site i think the one i would need is LM0027 6 channel, to be used in small gliders & Park flyers. Any feedback would be most welcome. Steve.
  10. Evening all, well engine doctor was correct, a little heat ( more than i would normally use) plus some solvent and Bingo it came away no probs,it was stuck on the gudgeon pin, must have been hot as the rear bearing came out as the crankshaft was withdrawn and the front bearing didnt take much to push out either. Thanks to all for your sugestions Steve.
  11. Thanks for replies, the con rod is very free on the crank pin but as you pull the con rod off the piston hits the case. iwill add photo of grove in case. Steve
  12. Hi Denis, every thing has been removed apart from the piston, con rod and crankshaft, it is very frustrating i have never struggled like this and i have replaced many bearings on many different engines
