About Me
Started R/C as a teenager with single channel slope soarers on Lake District fells in the ‘70s; first s/c glider was a Performance Kits Buzzard. Progressed to Futaba Digimax 4 installed in various RCM&E gliders and onto my first power model, a DB Skyrider. Built a 35MHz Micron PL-7D in 1981 – I wish they still designed compact TXs like that now, as it was a real gem!
I’m a traditional plan builder, having never owned an ARTF and built only a few kit models. Designed a couple of o/d gliders, one of which still flies after 45 years of service.
Currently in the Mid Cheshire Model Flying Club, and the PSSA since 2014, where I have enjoyed all the mass builds. Intending to try waterplanes when time permits.
I work in a software systems business in Manchester, designing traffic signalling systems for motorways and bridges.
