  1. Not quite. Use of a m/v without valid MOT or Insurance would render your part of fully comp down to 3rd party only. Insurance companies are legally required to cover at least 3rd party risks... or they did up until I retired from traffic 7yrs ago
  2. I've just been given a SOVOL SV01 which now that I've got it dialled in is printing lovely. I've just finished printing the PlanePrint Tucano which looks lovely. There's a few rubbish bits but overall I'm happy with it. I've looked at Eclipson and 3DLabPrint. Can anyone recommend any other sites for decent .stl files.
  3. I think that looks fantastic and I suspect a lot quicker to get to that stage than a traditional kit
  4. As per the title. Has anyone built(OK built is maybe not the right word) any of the Flite Test models. I've just downloaded the tiled plans for the "Bushwacker." Not the most scale of aircraft but for what I imagine they cost and their ease of build they look great fun
  5. Following as I intend to get this one later this year
  6. Posted by Geoff S on 22/08/2020 14:42:22: I've just ordered the CNC parts from SLEC and building will commence shortly (I've hot to drag myself out of lethargy somehow! ). I've been studying the drawing and article in the magazine as well as the PDF files Peter so kindly sent me and one thing ín particular puzzles me - why are the flap servos installed as mirror images thus needing a reversing Y lead to connect them to a single receiver channel? Is there any reason why I can't have the servos oriented the same on both wings (ie with the arm pointing (say) port) rather than with them both pointing inwards? It seems to be a common issue. My Multiplex Fun Cub is the same and I've connected the flap servos to separate receiver channels. As I had a spare channel anyway it wasn't a problem but it seems odd to me. Geoff Hi Geoff, I've been looking on the SLEC website for the kit but can't find it? What do I search or did you have to ring them and if so how much is it? Steve Mc
  7. Just received my "Ohmen" kit from Sarik as a first kit built. That's my winter building project sorted.
  8. Thank you all. Order some new batteries when this is all over
