  1. Look for ‘Popular1956’ on eBay sorry can’t find my messages with him so can’t remember his name but he made me the driver and spinner assembly for a Mk 111, he cast the prop driver you are looking for, quick turnaround and reasonable prices, he also makes excellent original needle valve assemblies, just got an ED racer one from him.
  2. Totally agree Ron, Jon w@s an exceptional ambassador to the brand.
  3. Quite, Jon said he will need it back to effect the mod, when he was leaving is exceptional service which he gave to us all. Had I not been ill I would have known by now 😳
  4. I was sad to see that Jon has now left and Laser is shutting its doors, I too have an i200 reverse and in my pm with Jon was the first I heard of the modification on the board, sadly I have not had a chance to run mine and the model that was quickly available still needs covering due to a spate of ill health, thankfully improving, I am guessing no one has had a reply as yet so I will go straight to a letter to try and glean more info, do we know what the part is called that we are waiting for?
  5. Both Lifewatch and Jetfrog in my case same debit card 75p & 30p respectively, like Phil says I didn’t trust the message from the bank but rather opened my account and was asked if I had used the card for Jetfrog the fraud team whilst checking my account told me about the Lifewatch one. I wonder as there are a few of us if it is somewhere we all use? Although to be honest online purchases go through PayPal and not usually my cards direct. 🤔
  6. Airprox Just had this through email. On the face of it not really negative to us but I can’t help feeling the way this going! 🤔😳
  7. Richard There are several silencers that will fit the FSR if an original is not forthcoming, the earlier unpainted Irvine 40 and the earlier range of ASP/SC 40/46 they all look identical to the original OS, also the HP 40 silencers also fit. HTH
  8. Hi Franke Do you have a link to where the fuselage mouldings are available please?
  9. I know my memory isn’t what it used to be but I seem to remember having to apply to the CAA for an exemption for my first 30cc 14lb model back in the early 80’s. I know this was upped over time and with larger and heavier models now around you would expect that exemptions would be required but we have always had some sort of regulation for what we do, and we have always moved with the times with as in my personal case a minimum of change, with current regulation we have no real choice but to make the best of it. Can I fly what I did 20 - 40 years ago? Yes I can, as Andy says we can pretty much do what we did with the help of article 16, I appreciate some maybe affected as I would, had I still lived in Shropshire and 20 acres to fly from, I was a member of clubs as well, but the more that this stressed about the less I would enjoy my life long hobby. I could take up models trains but they don’t get high enough 😂
  10. Nice to see you back on Eric, sorry to hear of your wife’s passing. Take care mate.
  11. Having been lurking since nice the start of this thread and really interested in what Richard is doing to get people involved I thought whilst waiting yet another hospital appointment to just add my support to it. I am not sure I can get involved although I do want to but feel a bit of a fraud as I still have an La7, me110 and 109 still in their boxes, I desperately wanted to start the 109 as I have all the decals etc for a rendition of Frank Stiegler’s 109 but I just have not been able to do much on the modelling front in the last good while, still have a project for the Laser 200 inline twin which I had got to covering stage very quickly then hit a brick wall with the news of my wife’s health issues so I will quietly support from the sidelines, for me the tempest would probably get my vote although the 190 in a winter scheme would be very hard to pass up. Probably be a good thing to kick start me again but can’t face yet another box to store.
  12. Sorry to hear that Doug, I am sure you will enjoy the build, makes into a good looking model. Take care my friend.
  13. Hi Doug Yes he was in Woodham as was I the he moved to Southminster further up the road from there and it became Premier as I recall. Good luck with the build.
  14. If my memory serves me they were one and the same Premier being the last incarnation of the company, I had the premier kit many years ago and I am convinced they it was the Olympic one the factory was very close to me in Essex. For the small cost of printing the plan out at full size so you can check the parts against it would be the way I would go, there were not many tigers at that size produced.
