  1. I used a 3s 2200 mAh lipo (see photo) because thats what I had, the motor is a 2200 kv I think, because thats what I had, but you could probably use a much smaller motor I only use about 2/3rds power for a steep climb.
  2. Oh and it might need some downthrust ,I put a packing piece behind the top of the mount.
  3. Easy, just saw off the nose block ,glue on a plywood "firewall" and screw on the motor mount. you may need to move the servos back under the wing to make room for the battery. Yes that is a very old Middlephase circa 1986 I think.
  4. Posted by David Davis on 05/10/2019 06:55:59: Are there any good shops in Somerset? I'll be staying there for a few days next week. There is the Hobby Hangar in Yeovil.
  5. I'm holding John Woodfield to blame for this ,all those glorious classic gliders he keeps posting up on youtube. I was rummaging about in the workshop and I found some TE and LE strip along with some rib stock and before I knew it, I had cut out 24 wing ribs and by the end of the day I had a nice set of wings. Now a wing is in want of a fuselage so I had to draw one and a tail, this is the result. Now the wait for a nice day to try it out.
