  1. I have now renewed my RCM&E magazine yearly membership and shall look forward to receiving this every month.
  2. Yes that sounds like good advice. If I had more than one model I would use the same Rx I have used Futaba in the past when they were available as a set including 4 servos. I agree with bright colours and different under wing to above wing like my Arising Star. I plan to get two LiPos to bring to the flying field your right about ten minutes flying about right for me.
  3. Ahh that’s what I thought, my Arising Star had only one and it worked very well, thanks.
  4. Another thought, the club I am joining has a grass airstrip, I have always flown from concrete runways, do I need any mods to the under carriage like larger diameter wheels?
  5. I lost my first Arising Star when my instructor accidentally switched his Futaba Tx trainer switch to ‘on’ as I was on finals just two feet off the ground. My pride and joy took a full aileron turn Stbd wing up, wingtip hit ground, plane nosedived in. Took the nose off, but gave me something to do over the winter months ?
  6. I would dearly love my sons to get interested in model flying, my number one son is a cracking Blade 120 pilot, that’s why I posted this everything you need Apprentice trainer.
  7. I saw this whilst looking for somewhere to start it’s certainly less expensive than the Boomerang which is going to set me back £600+. The EMF Trainer comes with everything plus SAFE technology too.
  8. I am aware of the propeller danger and have had the scared fingers from flicking over the props, ouch
  9. I started aero modelling in 1956 with 2/6d Kiel Kraft kits from our newsagent in Kingsbury, in 1959 we built a Graupner FW190 control line a/c my Christmas present. In 1978 the Ripmax trainer my first R/C model then the Arising Star era of 2006. Now at 75 I feel the urge to start again.
  10. I have owned Futaba Tx Rx before plus I did fly a Blade with a Spectrum Rx but today I must be carefull with the pennies.
  11. Question, the Boomerang wing needs two servos, one each for Port and Stbd aelerons, what do I need to look for when I buy amy Tx and Rx? I am looming at a Futaba T6K V2 from 4Max it has lots of features I am not familiar with and if I dont use a Y connector would it be possible to use Flaperons?
  12. Thanks, that is usefull to know. 4Max have given me a quote and I will disscuss the motor size/proppelor size/pitch also.
