  2. Hi Ladies and gentlemen,i've not been around for a while but things are settling down so here i am agian. Anyways here's a quick word about the MRRCSound V4 unit.Having just taken delivery of a fms bf109 i was flicking through the latest RCM&E and this unit caught my eye.Now i ordered the unit in the early hours of friday morning and the wonderful Mr Carpenter had the unit at my door on the saturday morning. The unit itself is very well made and comes with everything you need,i had it hooked up roughly in seconds like you do so i could have a listen. So now the important bit how does it sound?Well amazing is about the best word,it's loud and made me jump to be honest and is just like having a 109 ticking over in your living room,i'm well impresed and would reccomrnd this unit. My neighbours arn't so impressed as it was loud enough to wake them and have them knocking on my door, oops but they wouldn't beleive i hadn't started a real engine till i showed them. Thankyou Mr Carpenter/MRRCSound for quality service and a quality product.
  3. It does seem to be a lucky dip with the cnc and woodpack, mine has gone together ok but it's not a good advert for the company supplying them.It does seem they are working with the attitude of "it doesn't matter if it's right just chuck anything in the kit" Good ol british quality eh?    Edited By Del Wheatley on 11/03/2013 13:57:43

  5. Evening guy's,i'm just getting close to the covering stage with mine and was wondering is it best to treat the wood with anything before the films applied or will straight onto the sanded wood do it fine. Cheers Del
  6. I had trees and no cat till i woke up one morning to find this cat asleep on the end of my bed,he used to come in and out through the bedroom window.

  9. It is but i have learnt something from it,i ordered my toucano motor/esc from what i thought was the uk warehouse and thought the 3 week delivery was a bit exessive but since reading this thread and following some of the how to check your order tips i find i ordered from Hkong. I agree that parcel force are the problem here but H king need to sort their site out as it seems far to many people get caught out the same way with where they actually order from.
  10. Had a cracking day flying in colchester, spent all morning flying a super cub around my field (first day ever with no damage to repair woohoo). Then the local metal detector club turned up ,after a coffee over the fence we agreed an area each of the field and i spent all afternoon flying my heli's.
  11. I have a supercub and love it,takes off in a few feet and comes to a virtual stand still for landing,Pick a nice still day for your first go with it because the wind will catch it well. I am teaching myself and tried the phoenix sim but found i progressed more when i bought a helicopter (a blade 130x).Depth perception and orientation were much easier with something real as aposed to a 2d computer screen.
  12. Thanks for the coments guy's. bbc,i am trying to get some details as i have never met the man.He is my mums cousin and he emigrated when i was a baby. From what i'm told he could make anything.I have a picture of a tommy gun carved from wood for a photo shoot that he made some where. He lives in the middle of no where with no internet and answers post when he gets round to it,so as soon as i get some info i will pass it on. My dad says he was a magician with an english wheel and a sheet of ally so i expect he would have rolled and formed all the panels by hand.
  13. A while ago i mentioned that a relation had built a full size model of a spitfire that now resides in a museum in NZ. I have just received some pictures of it while he had it at home so thought ya's may like a look
