Where do you start with CNC?
chris Bond - Bondaero replied to Stuart Z's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Hi I have just completed my first simple drawing of a motor mount in CamBam but not attempted to assign any machining code. Is there anyone on here that I can send the file to that can cut it for me .Ideally I am aiming for 2 pieces cut from 2mm carbon but would seem sensible to cut from ply first as I really am at the very bottom of the learning curve. Payment will of course be made. Any advice appreciated -
Ever wanted to get into or improve your aerobatics?
chris Bond - Bondaero replied to Peter Jenkins's topic in In The Air
Following on from the very popular BMFA "In the Air Tonight" - An introduction to Aerobatics, the LEICESTER MODEL AERO CLUB are to host an event on Saturday 7th August (subject to Covid regulations) at our site near Market Harborough Leicestershire. Places are limited so please book early. During the day, you will be assigned to an experienced Mentor who will be able to assist with correct model set up and all important model trimming. (some of the mentors have represented the UK at World Championship events) Any model that is capable of a loop and a roll will be suitable but must comply with an 82db maximum noise limit. You will be able to hone your skills throughout the day and for those interested will be able to enter a low key Competition at the end of the day. These events are a great opportunity to take your present flying abilities and develop these onto new levels. Please follow the link below to apply for a place and select CLUBMAN as your entry. NB for this event you DO NOT have to be a member of the Great Britain Radio Control Aerobatic Association (GBRCAA) nor a member of the Leicester Model Aero Club. https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/ejdRolp3f4Txck19 Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to give me a call or drop me a pm. -

Just a heads up on this part kit of the Vesna slope soarer which I have underway. So very impressed with the kit and is starting to look pretty. Great lockdown winter project for the experienced or inexperienced builder. https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=vesna+glider#id=2&vid=959b132ef9e10e5e0a8a174d4269a6a0&action=view

Purchase of flying land
chris Bond - Bondaero replied to Mark Adams 3's topic in Flying Field Reports and Chat
Put the land in a small company and have the club rent the land from that company thus protecting the asset(s) Also make the purchase contract subject to planning if you do not currently have planning -

Looks like a 6s set up would give you plenty https://www.bondaero.co.uk/Cobra_413016_Brushless_Motor/p1085152_17848852.aspx or the Tomcat 60/601or HK Turnigy sk3 5045/55 ESC 70-80A 2-6s Although some cheap motors will work I would advise against buying too cheap on ESC's ZTW, YEP, Overlander all seem good value 16x8 prop but check that you have the ground clearance Edited By chris Bond - Bondaero on 29/04/2018 10:57:50
