I can't believe it takes 3 hours to charge one.

Hi All, I am not sure if i have got my camera set up right. If i set it to record to test the duration i will get, the camera records multiple clips in 10 min duratons. Example - if i leave it filming for 40 mins i end up with 4 x 10 min recorded clips. Is this standard or am i using it incorectly? I have seen other videos on here and youtube that are longer than 10 mins. Thanks for any help. Chris.

Just come out of a 10 yr retirement from modelling. Had my 35mhz trani serviced and fortunately don't expect ant interfirance as I live on a remote island off the west coast of Scotland. Mine is Pointles post I suppose.

Could anyone shed some light on the reason that ballast would be added to a model glider. I have a 2m electric glider (built up) and just got back into the hobby but have previously flowe rc planes not gliders. Does ballast increase speed or control in wind? Thanks very much. I will just connect all 3 and then work ot the right direction. Just didnt want to fry a new motor and ESC.

Hi Folks, You can probably guess i am new to electric flying by the question that follows. I have just taken delivery of a new brusless motor and ESC. The motor has 3 x Black wires coming from it and the ESC has 3 x blue wires coming from it. Is there any way of determening which wires conect from the ESC to the Motor or does it not matter as long as each one is conected to another. The ESC is a Robotbirds Pro-40A-V4 and the Motor is an EMAX BL2815/09 Thanks

Thanks Richard thats just what i was thinking. I have just the right wood in the scrap box to modify the wing. Flying experiance - Like most of us blokes kids got in the way and stopped our fun for some years. My break has been 10yrs and i have moved from Wigan to the Isle of Lewis in the outer hebridies. No flying clubs on the island but miles of open space and beeches to enjoy flying. I currently fly gliders but want to see if i can interest my son hense the flyboy build. Getting materials can be difficult at times as everything has to be shipped so far. Chris.

Just been having a think about the job in hand. I am now wondering if i should shorten the wing ribs, reduce the dihedral and add ailerons. After all, i hope that my son enjoys building it with me and with ailerons i could become a better trainer plane. Any thoughts on this?

Thats great news. Sounds so much cheaper than an IC engine too. Living on the Isle of Lewis means i have no access to fuel as it would have to be posted. Hmmm Build Blog. I will do my best. I hope to start building in the next few days.

My dad has given me a complete Flyboy kit thats unopend. How cool is that!! So I'm going build the Precedent (why not!!), but I was wondering what your thoughts are on converting these to electric? They are all designed to run on a .25-.30 engine. What would be a suitable electric conversion? Any other build tips would be welcome. Chris.
