  2. ok, Think i might have to get one :D Thanks a lot all! Liam
  3. Thanks! The wheels being small doesn't matter much as you can always put larger ones on. How aerobatic is it? Also how well does it manage the wind? I saw that it said upto 10mph but is that gusts or a steady 10mph? Lastly what set up are you using and is the build eaisy for a first time builder. Regards, Liam
  4. Hi, Size wize I'm looking fo 50" max as i want to be able to fly at a local field when I can't get my parrents to give me a lift down to my club. I should have also said i don't want it to be expensive (i'm only 14 with no support from parrents lol) so sub £90 the cheeper the better. That's for airframe only as i can find a few spare 9g savox servos from my heli days and i can always buy the rest. Also sturdy landing gear is a must as I can admit landing is my favorite part and my field is quite bumpy! And thanks @plummet it's nice but oliptical wings are not my favorite due to their tip stalling tendances. Cheers, Liam
  5. Hello, I used to be a heli flyer, i'm now into fpv quadcopters and flying planes los. I've been flying a parkzone decathlon, i'm confident in all orientations, inverted flat spins stalls etc and feel that now its time for a step up. I want a low/mid wing plane that i can build from a kit thats not scale and is electric as i feel a scale i could not do justice. I just cant find a sutiable kit? cheers Liam

  11. Ok, Here is a simple formula. Below 40° the lift is higher than the drag. The added drag will slow the model down a tad but it'll glide for longer. Above 40° The higher the degree the more drag and less lift. Above 45° the drag is greater than the lift You need to test and find that happy, safe medium.
  12. Hello, Over the last few months i've noticed around the rear of the cockpit area the foam starts to weaken. This was no problem until last weekend when after i clipped the left wing after a sudden gust while landing and it flipped, hitting the nose on the ground. I now have some crease marks in the foam. I've added 3mm carbon rod supports on both sides. I'd recomend anyone with a plane like this E.g; Bixler easystar anx floater etc... To add some support or watch the area. Hope this helps somebody, Enjoy flying! Liam
  13. Hello! Well, where do i start? I'm Liam B, 13 and from London. I have been into RC for around 3 years now. I started with a small losi micro-DT car. It was amazingly fun to drive around the house and the decking in the garden. I then upgraded to a bigger 1/10 scale buggy. And that was fun too. I got into RC heavily with the lipo's and chargers spektrum radio too! Over the 2.5 years i was into Cars. Then i changed my focus to learning to fly! I Saved up and got a Clone of the Easystar made by dynam. It flys great! I've mastered orientation and some very basic areobatics. I've designed a paperplane styled plane too! Hope to maiden it on the weekend. Well, I've been buying RCME from WHSmiths every month not really thinking about subscribing until this October issue. Last month my soldering iron gave up the ghost and stopped heating up. It was my fathers old one and i decided it would be best off in the bin. So i was going to buy a new one but then i read that you could get a free one if i subscribed, So I did! I'd like to point out a few things before asumptions are made about me. I Suport this hobby through many ways; My paper round Washing parents and neibours cars Doing odd jobs (such as gardening for elderly neibours.) My current fleet is: Dynam hawk sky, Blade MCX2 (birthday present) Paper plane style Dubbed "concorde" And soon to be a Acro wot foam-e If i can get the extra £70 over the next few months.
