  1. Looks good mate. I would get a cheap halogen heater as well to warm it up on those winter nights!
  2. Having a dash cam fitted is definitely the way forward especially on today's roads. It's quite surprising how much you miss when in a stressful situation but the dash cam will capture a lot. I had a run in with a guy who pulled out in front of me and caused me to brake hard. I gave him a tug of the horn as he went passed but he took exception to that and proceeded to do a u turn to follow me, flashing his lights and signalling at me with his fist. I turned the dash cam round to record him. He then realised I had a camera on him and turned off pretty sharpish.
  3. My opinion from the video is that it looks like a failed attempt at an autonomous flight and he got caught. I just hope that this is an isolated incident and helps people to properly plan ahead before attempting such flights. James May's toy stories episode on the glider flight just shows some of the lengths you have to go to be within the law.
  4. If the dimensions are similar then maybe you can still use the e-flite setup?
  5. I'm in Whiteley and am looking to get into a club. Is there still spaces in funtley?
  6. Looks like the E-flite F-16 to me. The manual should be available from here. **LINK** I believe the code is EFL7075 Hope that helps you.
  7. Hi Caveman, that's a very nice model you have there, you have done a great job with her. certainly inspiring me to get mine finished. Are you sure its the servo that was causing the problem with the rudder? I had a similar problem and it turned out to be my DX6 rudder pot sending dodgy signals to the Rx. Horizon Hobby did a swift job of fixing it for me. Hi Redex, I'm not really sure on what the electric substitute would be, I have decided to go down the noisy route and am still trying to decide what noise maker to purchase for this model. As to the battery location, is there any scope of having a hatch on the underside of the servo tray? I haven't looked at mine in a while and can't rem how much room there is under there. So far I haven't done much more to the model except de-dust it and make sure I still have all the bits. Edited By Aky208 on 14/03/2014 15:57:23
  8. It's been a while since I have looked at my RC collection, let alone this build. I never realised how much free time I had until I lost it. But I feel a renewed effort to get back into the hobby I love and to complete this build. Hopefully bringing my child up in the same world of planes, trains and automobiles that my Dad did with me. So watch this space while I dust off my half complete model and get to work.

Not used one myself, but my uncle just put one up into space! Edited By Aky208 on 09/03/2013 00:03:22
  10. LHS's struggle enough without having to turn customers away because they haven't got the right credentials. Although sensible, I think logistically, it will be a nightmare to implement.
  11. I would have thought that somebody is always liable. Especially with today's "no win no fee" climate. Edited By Aky208 on 08/02/2013 17:32:05
  12. A rod licence from the EA is the same. It has a blanket renewal date rather than 12 months from the date you joined. And no discount either.
  13. I think today's economic climate may have something to do with it. Everybody is too hard spending nowadays.
  14. Similar boat to you avtur, my company car was a VW passat estate. Had to hand it back when the redundancies came out. But the passat was soo good, i couldn't settle for anything else. I'm getting my rear end down VW dealers at the end of the month!!
  15. Posted by David Gilder on 01/02/2013 19:11:55: Now where did I put that £2.5m and the other £2.5m for the renovation! You could buy it, then sell off 20 acres to pay for the renovation
