  1. Dave, unfortunately the build of the Nimrod hasn't even started yet. Life has got in the way. The parts are all there, patiently waiting for me to put them together but I'm afraid it'll have to wait. Edited By Craig Kane on 10/12/2018 06:34:13
  2. Guys, is it possible to link a 9XD (master) to a Turnigy 9XR Pro (slave) via a buddy-box lead? Both Tx's are running the same version of Open Tx 2.1. I can't seem to make it work at all. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Finished and test flown!   https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2904450-Sky-Mule-conversion#post37820480 Edited By Craig Kane on 30/06/2017 14:09:53
  4. Thought you might like to see the progress I'm making with a conversion to my Skymule **LINK** Edited By Craig Kane on 20/06/2017 16:18:14
  5. Hi guys, Fantastic models.   Found this post as I was doing some research for my Nimrod project (Chris Golds plan). The model will be 86" wingspan and come out around 7lbs in weight. It calls for 4x Speed 400 motors driving 5" props.   From experience, I have found that 2826/6 2200KV motors on 6x4 props give about 270w on 3s. Do you think that 4 of these would be enough?   Edited By Craig Kane on 24/02/2017 10:43:10
  6. Posted by Denis Watkins on 18/02/2017 08:09:11: You are starting to annoy me now Craig lol A Nimrod build bigger than anything I can imagine With retracts worth more than my model And a strip to die for at Bangor You must have been born under a star Good Luck my friend, keep us posted We are quite fortunate. :D This is one of those models that I've always dreamed of building. We used to fly from a grass strip so there was no chance of me even attempting to build it. I've decided to take full advantage of the fact that we have a proper runway and spend the money on some "proper" models.
  7. Our runways are quite good.. https://youtu.be/tlOYoZvaKkE
  8. Thanks folks. They are the best looking ones and the addition of brakes is very useful. The wheels are slightly too large (according to the plans) but I'm ex Nimrod groundcrew and I know that the mains are a good bit larger than the elsewhere.
  9. Hi folks, I'm starting to build the Chris Golds 86" Nimrod and have a question about the undercarriage. I want to use these as they are the closest to scale: **LINK** but I'm wondering if there are any alternatives? I thought about using air retracts instead of electric but have no idea where to start looking. Any help would be appreciated. Craig

Got told about this today from a fellow flier. From what he said, it's a very good bit of kit. Going to try it out now. Thanks in advance
  11. I had a similar problem with fitting my module. I took the module apart and made sure that the pins on the X9D fitted correctly by offering the (opened) module up to it. Once I got it to fit correctly I built it back up and it now works perfectly.
  12. Fantastic. Looks great on the ground and has such a presence in the air. Well done indeed
  13. I have repeatedly emailed over the last few months but never had a reply. It's a shame because they have some really good models. Looks like I'll have to scrap the latest project idea, unless anyone knows of an alternative source for a Canberra or Meteor?
  14. I found this today in Maplin. **LINK** Excellent adhesion and no melting of the foam. Product code: N66AN £4.49 for 500ml
