  1. Hope you are up and running soon, look after yourself.
  2. Hi Kelly, I have the magazine article somewhere and can copy it and send it to you in a couple of days. I will finish mine one day!
  3. Almost a whole 10p a week. Oh dear!!!
  4. It looks like another review came out yesterday from the CAA with input by the 10th January. Remote ID has reared its ugly head. I only had a quick read, lots of reading to digest.
  5. Thanks Ron, they arrived safely yesterday and tried them out in the evening just before flying. Worked really well, much quicker to use and safer too than the trusty screwdriver. I will distribute the other 9 pairs amongst clubmates. So cheap at a £1 a pair. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
  6. The G-INFO website run by the CAA should give you the current owners name and address.
  7. I have the wings of the Opus Speed 500 but cannot find anything about it on the web. It has just ailerons and screw on winglets. Does anyone out there have any info? TIA Bob
  8. In the Hanky Panky Foamy Woamy thread Ron Gray used Gorilla Clear glue which I'm going to try.
  9. A clubmate recently donated 3 brand spanking new DLE engines of various sizes to the club still in the boxes. To me they were a thing of beauty and I'm all electric! Almost tempted!!
  10. I was given this glider recently with the rear fuselage in two halves and a bit of trailing edge missing. Afer repairs, I flew it for the first time last week and can't wait for the thermals to come around again as it doesn't seem to want to come down. It was built by a deceased club member who had quite a number of models that he designed himself, all of which flew reasonably well. It was taken on by another member who didn't get on with it and that is when the damage ocurred. Does anyone recognize it as a plan or kit built? It has a wingspan of 111.25" and weighs in at 3lb 6oz. TIA Bob
  11. I Bought a Radiolink AT9S about 5 years ago and like it. The manual is a bit difficult to comprehend at times but I use it mainly for electric powered gliders and have managed to program it for crow braking etc with a bit of head scratching. Servos are cheap and I haven't had any problems as yet. One minus thing to watch, the screen is not easy to see in full sunlight.
  12. Hi Rich, I'm not surprised with such a fertile mind. The Gyroo looks great. I hope this is the year that I get to fly a gyro for more than a minute before crashing. If life doesn't get in the way!
  13. Hi Rich, What ever happened to the Whippiteer? Is it ever likely to appear in plan form for the magazine?
  14. Yep, count me in too. I bet you are not as slow as me Steve.
  15. Rescued from a bin, anyone have any idea of the manufacturer? Wingspan 72" normal balsa wing. Fuselage is a sort of nylon type material. TIA Bob
  16. Thanks John, looks like I will have to name it after the previous owner. Gibson has aeronautical connotations!
  17. Perry and Matt, many thanks for your comments. I'm still leaning towards the Fledgling someone mentioned earlier although there seems to have been damage at the rear end and the tail feathers don't match up. Could have come from something else.
