    Well I enjoyed it. I wanted to see the results of some of the fantastic improvements in animatronics available today. My only worry really was what could happen to the animals if they did mange to break open one of the spy cams? A squirrel with a mouth full of battery and electronics would not be a very happy or well animal, hence the need for a real live cameraman to be nearby. As Jon says the egret with the twisted beak and nookie bear tumbling down the waterfall was funny. I would like to see a programme based on the making of these spy cams, that would be more interesting.

    Garry I had the same problem with mine, ordered a new one from flea bay for £10. Took old one off and found I could read it easily when viewed from different angle. Left it laying on top of heater and can read it well, didn't bother to fit new one. Maybe one day...

    Couldn't agree more with Jeremy, read the link and follow the advice. I ordered some 2 pack about 10 years ago and the seller warned me about the stuff and advised that I get a positive pressure face mask cos you really don't want to breathe it in. I followed his advice bought a mask, sprayed the motorcycle, brilliant, superb paint, easy to put on. 2 weeks later was rushed to a & e cos I couldn't breath, nearly passed out walking length of garden. turns out that not only should you not breathe in the stuff but you also absorb it through your skin, it's stops your bloods ability to carry oxygen. So cover up, completely. Won,t go anywhere near the stuff nowadays.

    I fitted one to my 10 ft by 15ft workshop last Friday to replace the 3kw fan heater I had been using. I swapped over because we have recently been fitted with a smart meter and then became aware of the cost of running a fan heater. I love it and found that even without a silencer it is not an obtrusive noise (about the same as our central heating flue). My workshop is at the bottom of a 120ft garden and I was surprised to find that the remote worked at that distance. The exhaust runs through a short length of 30mm copper pipe that serves as a heat barrier where it passes through the wall. I, like you have protected the remaining exhaust with a wire cage. It has been running about 10 hours in total so far and consumed about 1.5litres of diesel. 3 of my mates have been to inspect it, one has already ordered one. Nothing but praise for it. Martin

    I,ll echo Johns comments, used t have a trailer tent that 3 of us used, now we each have our own tent and carry everything in the trailer. Good fun until packing away time comes, still ten times easier than packing trailer tent.

    I must admit I agree with Dennis. I was told when I first started flying model planes "if you can,t afford to bin it, you can't afford to fly it". That has been my philosophy all along. Thankfully I haven't binned many.

    Late last summer I wandered up our local slope to find about a dozen people flying. I dug out my old Sanwa gear, extended the aerial and jokingly shouted out "Anybody on 72", yes came back the reply from 2 others. Who says 35meg is dead?

    I have had 3 B6's over the years, 2 fakes 1 genuine, but after buying a rc6 wouldn't go back to them. All seemed very vague when it came to balancing, my mate tells me that you can recalibrate them, but I don,t trust myself to do that. Batteries that wouldn't balance on the b6 when put on the over lander sort themselves out quickly.

    You have to get out and maiden these delightfull little planes. They have proved to be great flyers and virtually bomb proof, as the picture of my mates ones shows. It was pulled out the ground, dusted off and flown again, that was 3 years ago and they still going strong.

    Long time since I posted on this forum but I had to share this with you. Having just built a pair of Cartoon Cutlass's my mate Gerry and I went out to maiden them today. Tough little birds they most certainly are, mine ended up in the river bounding our field (my fault for not fixing servo on wing properly) and came away wet but undamaged. Photo shows Gerry's, not all landings are perfect, we dug it out checked it over, cleaned it off and threw it up again, it flew perfectly. Thank you Nigel for what is for us a bomb proof plane.

    Its smaller than the DX8 but I've not seen the DX18 screen. I need my glasses for the 9 but was OK with 8.

    John, Unfortunately you have to do them manually from scratch using dx8 values as a start point. Somewhat time consuming. Hopefully there will be some downloadable ones on the Spektrum Community website before long because I'm dreading setting up my Radion Pro. I think its because the software is more DX18 based than DX8.

    Mine turned up last week and I love it. Only bummer is the fact that you can't transfer settings from DX8 with the SD card. Spent most of week manually transferring them. Not sure yet wether it is ok to put the high capacity lipo battery from 8 in it as it uses a Li-on one.

    Never have I read a more apt descrition of a maiden flight, your right, the grin stayed on my face for ages. What a little darling this plane is, straight off the board it flies an absolute treat. Next one will have a lighter tail and a slightly wider undercarriage. Lovely, whats next Lindsay? (would put couple of pictures in but haven't read how to do it yet, sorry) Martin

    Hi folks, just finished my Dawn Flyer, great model Lindsay and fun to build although mine did need couple of ounces of church roof in the front. All being well maiden flight will be tomorrow and couple of pictures will follow. Then to build another one for my non builder mate. Thanks for great plan. Martin.
