John Stainforth

Started aeromodelling in 1959 with gliders, then free flight with elastic power, then small engines (about 1960). Control line with small diesel engines 1961, single channel radio control 1962-64, galloping ghost proportional (home made kit) 1965. Scratch built a total of 17 models, several own designs, until 1966. Gave up modeling then (other interests, hobbies, career got in the way) and only took up aeromodelling again in the USA in 2008. Since then have gone through about 20 ARF's and have recently got back into building.
