  2. Saw Keith Jackson fly this model at the Triple Crown event in Bedford at the weekend. Very impressed by its "locked on" flight. Looking forward to when its published.

Pretty much. I think ASP are modeled on the OS FSR series engines

The Mk1 AX has a rear mounted needle on a bracket. So if you can find one, problem solved.

As many will be aware, the ASP Piston/Liner is a perfect fit for the FX and true ABC. In Stock at Just Engines.
  7. Duplistar was drawn up by 2 members of the GBRCAA( no idea who) Dalesman did very good work at the time and was the go too guy for wings. Model was never avaliable from DSM
  8. Had a Super Dalotel back in the day. Very simple model to build, with foam front and rear decks and no fiberglass cowl. Foam wing and tail. Was available in kit form or with jig built fuzz.
  9. Don't forget the Tornado in its day was powered by Webra 61, OS 60 FSR and Rossi 60 all on Tuned pipes.
  10. While looking for a winter build came across a Clive Weller design called Ensign.(RC Model World Dec 1984) Has anyone built one? Looks a simple build and may convert to 4s
  11. I have used The Vintage Model Company many times with great results.
  12. Malc, Great looking Curare. Who's plan did you use. Enjoy the maiden. Dave
  13. Nigel R Have you tried "spoilerons," very good at bleeding of speed on pattern models. Takes a little setting up, but worth the effort.
  14. Plans for the "60" size were only available from the designer. I borrowed a set from a friend. Will take a few photo's when I get back home and post. Model to far on for a build thread. The date on the plan is 1993, about the time FG kits started to appear and were quite expensive as most came from the USA. The idea behind the design was to have an easily build competitive model that anyone could build. The model is about 10% bigger over all, its not just that the moments have been stretched.
  15. Nigel, It's 671/2 ins. I also flew his Rival, a great "go to" model.
  16. Have a "60" size Chilli Wind in build at present, Just measured fuzz at 641/2 ins nose ring to rear of rudder. Mr Delacole gave us some great airplanes.
  17. Cheers guys, I will put a post on the GBRCAA forum and see if anything shows up. Dave
  18. This is along shot, but does anyone have any info on this model. Designed by Keith Hart around 1984-85, one of the first turnaround models. Plans and foam veneered cores were available at the time. Dave
  19. Well done. Looking foward to test flight report. Dave
  20. Looks great, Is it a mark 1 or 2 ??
  21. Cloth can now be got as light as .5 ozs. and is much stronger than tissue. Tissue is just a light version of chopstrand mat. All glass supplied in kits is what's known as "fibre glass tape", will do the job but a little over kill.
  22. It may no workout on the 60 size in the same place.
