  1. Yes it would , but I was just curious to see if there were any alternatives , I already have a velocity given to me by one of my flying colleagues who smashed the front end off , so I'm trying to repair it , but always curious to see what else is available if anything
  2. Just had a look at it , I'm wondering if my engine other tuned pipe may be a bit much for it
  3. Anyone know where I can get hold of a delta kit suitable for a Weston 50 with pipe
  4. Thanks Bob just ordered one of those from JE , i also asked them about a petrol conversion , and they said a lot of people have converted the saito to petrol , with no significant loss of power I will be converting at the end of the summer with the kit JE supply
  5. i am foremost a petrol engine guy , but bought a saito 125a , and i'm having a right old time getting a spinner for this engine i bought a plastic spinner with an aluminium back plate which lasted three flights , on the fourth it exploded while using the starter i then bought an aluminium spinner , with the usual single bolt through the centre , but it wont fit as the sujpplied adapter nut will not screw on the crank far enough can someone point me in the right direction for a spinner for this engine , spinner needs to be no bigger than 2.5 inches , and its to go on the seagul glasair , which by the way i maidened last weekend and its a joy to fly
  6. Thanks guys the motor is already run in , by the guy i bought it off Compression is very strong , and as you say that kick back is severe , i cant use a starter at present as i don't have a spinner , tried reversing the rubber insert on my starter to fit on the prop nut but it just chewed it up

  8. Had it running for a full tank , takes some starting by hand though Could i put a 16x8 prop on the saito , only reason i ask is it's the only prop i have available, i did have a master screw 16x6 but it kicked back when starting onto my stick and took a chunk out of the blade
  9. i knew i should of stuck with petrol and bought a two stroke
  10. It's already in the model Justin as per opening post
  11. Cheers cymaz , I've just ordered that , can't do no harm
  12. When i put my finger over the carb or exhaust , the fuel is drawn up into the carb , but it drains back down the pipe again , it doesn't stay there
  13. i've just bought a saito 125a fs ,and installed it in a seagull glasair , the tank came with the model , and has a built in mount in the fusalage where i have duly installed it the engine is mounted horizontal as per the manual , but the fuel supply from the tank is approx 2 1/2 inches below the carb i have not got any experience of fourstroke glows , only two strokes glows , and petrol engines would this cause a problem , if so is there any type of pump i could use , and where could i get one
  14. all sorted , i put the flaps on a Y lead ,giving me one channel spare (ar8010t) which i re-assigned to rudder , all works perfect , just waiting for a saito 125a to arrive in the next two days
