  1. I have spent a frustrating afternoon trying to extend model memory on my 18 MZ. I have used up the 9 slots provided. To extend the model memory slots , is this done by a software download or is there a button / switch I haven’t discovered yet. Anyone help please.
  2. I went to charge my Futaba TX WC2 8 cell en loop battery using a SkyRC D100V2. A message is displayed saying CONNECT ERROR CHECK MAIN PORT. The charger works ok when charging Lipo and Nimh 4 and 5 cell RX packs. I can charge the TX battery using a Graupner charger no problem. I have reversed the output lead’s from the charger but the message is still the same. Help would be appreciated John

  7. Ken I have a DB Pup which came out at around 15LB I was also concerned about the weight. After the first flight I decided to move the c/g 5mm rearward from what the plan indicated because of the landing speed. The flight with the new c/g position went fine but I moved the c/g another 5mm and it flew much better and of course I was able to remove some of the church roof. My Pup is covered in Solartex and is powered by a Saito FG R33. The wings are held by the gripper method although I have had no problem but I am wary of this type of fitting. If you decide to alter the c/g position move it 5mm at a time after the initial flight . John
  8. Nigel Prop size will be 12.5x11.5 or 12x12. These sizes is what I run my hanno on. John
  9. I have a OS Max 61 RF ABC -P which I am installing in a DSM Excelsior. I have had a new header pipe made but I don't know what length the header as to be. The tuned pipe is blue in colour, Code 72101110. Thanks John
  10. Hello Jon this is the first time I have really listened to the engine and I agree it doesn't sound happy at all. I have taken some nose weight out I think I will lose a bit more. The first time I flew it I was amazed how fast it came in. I thought these things would float in . On Thursday I will pick the engine up and they have said they will run it up I will try and take a video of it running and I will post it on the web. If any good I will let you know on here. That would be great if you would pm me on the position of the V's John   Edited By John Lucas 4 on 18/03/2019 19:12:44
  11. Good afternoon all, Firstly thank you all who have responded on this thread. I spent a good hour yesterday trying to locate an email address for Saito and failed miserably . Jon, the engine is turning a 18x6 wooden prop, the engine is installed in a DB Sopwith Pup so the engine is not abused and only uses full power when required ie entry into loops etc and spends it's time just tootling around the sky at half power. Different to some of the displays I see at the shows where there is only one place for the throttle and that's wide open. By the way the petrol I am using is ethanol free at £20 for 4L. Looking back I suppose I should have put a Laser 150 in but at the time Lasers were in the middle of moving so that hit that on the head so Jon when are the V's coming back as I would like a 40cc for my P47. Moki's are a nice engine for people with deep pockets and after all the trouble I have had I don't think I will buy another radial. I don't think Saito have really got it together regards petrol engines I also have an FG21 petrol which was in a P51 and it never ran right especially around half throttle so I put a Saito 82 glow engine in and it runs perfect through the rev range, perhaps they should sort their carbs out or install Walbro carbs. I picking up my rebuilt engine up this coming Thursday together with a nice bill, but in the Pup on a lovely afternoon ticking over on the end of the strip all the trouble I have had will disappear.Hopefully John
  12. Yes the ignition timing is wrong it's to far advanced, this is something that is going to be addressed with a magnet and sensor ring conversion kit
  13. No they weren't mixed , the tank was drained and refilled with fresh petrol. It will be interesting once I get my engine back as I am having a fuel intake manifold modification plate fitted.
  14. I could give them a go just to see what response I get, but I won't hold my breath.
