  1. A mite too subtle there, Peter methinks!!
  2. I know what they do only too well which is why I expressed my concerns. Please also see my further post!
  3. Aaah. I have just read Peters further post. Apart from the onorous job of setting up your new card details with any accounts it was lodged with - a happy ending!! Good. I'm very pleased for you Peter!
  4. But given some unknown his card details, Gary. This can not be a good thing - at all!!
  5. Thank you Doc. Some sound (no pun intended) and appealing advice indeed. Long time since I even saw the box but from memory my deck is also a TD150. I also seem to tremember an SME arm. Your suggestioh is appealing in many respects. Apart from anything else if I did go down the replace before sale route I would have to learn the current market as it will have moved on somewhat in the last 30/40 years (yes really!!), since I was last taking notice of things. I have no real desire to do this just to sell a comparitively low value item and I also don't really fancy relearning the fine art of setting it all up either. So that's it, a mite more space in the junk, sorry, spare bedroom coming up. Thanks again.
  6. I agree, Doc. Having seen these posts my Vinyl is going to be listed and plonked onto eBay forthwith. I also have a Thorens but I think the tone arm had acquired an extra twist just before it was reboxed for a housemove. I would love some input guys, please. I can just sell as is, but, my inclination, is to find and fit a contemporary replacement. I don't remember which cartridge is fitted (possible Grado F1) but believe it is a pretty good quality effort from yesteryear. Does that sound right to you, guys? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Actually John 06 is Hungary and 061 is Oz acording to Google
  8. He has a rather heroic attitude to pricing doesn't he?
  9. Well Trevor!! What a blast from the past. "Uncle Roger", "self loading cargo" et al. WOW!!
  10. Hello dejampea, Never got round to building, my friend, but I do enjoy avaiation "things" and have done for nearly 70 years when from Harrow we took trips up to The Battleaxe (i think thats the name) pub which sits on the end of the Elstree runway. Great stuff. Anyway to cut a long storey short, I have had a daytime look at FL24, I normally have to on in the evenings and indentify all the traffic that comes overhead, and the only thing of real interest is an East Anglian Air Ambo from Norwich en route to London City. An unusual movement methinks. Good luck with your current build - and it's maiden!
  11. OK Tim. Thanks for that. Only yesterday.I had thought I should do the same as I seem to be missing a trick - and so local! Now! Where did I put my camera, cheese, pickle and that old Corona bottle for my water? Andrew.
  12. Hello Tim, Yes the bulletin I saw had the Spit And Hurricane up with the Blades. Would they have all returned together, via, overhead my house at Finedon. I certainly heard the Blades on the day but didn't see them at all. They normally practice just out of sight, whilst making some nice noise - nearby, so thats quite normal. I was aware of the Grace aircraft being based at Sywell but not of the P51. Meanwhile, where do you think the Hurricane is based, Tim?
  13. Well Tim, On the late news my recognition skills are spot on - 'twas a Hurricane after all. Lots of exotica up yesterday, so a good day for a touch of spotting. Couple of nicely formated Chippies over today but not much else
  14. A Mustang!! Back to ATC aircraft recognition classes for me then, Tim! A couple of articles on the ITV local news re Battle of Britain commemorations but our stuff not seen. Trying Beeb now. Yes. You don't have to see them really - just listen! Much joy.
