  1. Hello all ! Primer is painted ! Just a few weeks sanding before she gets her camo jacket fitted !
  2. One thing i learned over the years is that you can never have enough SPACE AND TIME ! I worked all my life to have my own shop , wich i build myself . It's 100 sq M , two stories high , very happy with it !
  3. Hi guy's Long time no see ! Just wanted to let you know that the fouga is completely ready for primer ! I made myself a spray-booth and looking forward to use it for the first time ! See you soon !
  4. Looks like a big canope !! You're going to need a very big frame-box and a big heater !
  5. I use automotive products as i have a lot of leftovers I did use spray cans for little parts and it worked fine !
  6. Yes , Danny always primer and paint ! It will stand the heat of the plastic , no worries!
  7. @ Danny fenton In this case , i simply made a new part in the mould of the canope frame twice as thick. Usually i make a plug out of pink foam , covered with 500gr glass to get a smooth finish.
  8. Plugs for the Windows painted and polissen, ready for vacuming !
  9. Different coolers , antenna , air intakes periscope X X
  10. Hello all ! I'm new in this section , but not new on the forum, In 2017 i started a topic in the EDFsection , a scratch build compositie fouga 1/4.5. Sinds the end of summer she did 5 fligts and i'm busy now adding all the scale details wich , i think , will be more in place here in the ''scale matters'' section . I'm only trying to reach visitors interested in scale items who never visit the EDF section. If not allowed , sorry , Dirk I added a video of the speed brakes , Just one of the many scale items.Much more in the EDF section ! 20231220_224415.mp4
  11. Here is a little video of the 1st wing 20231220_224415.mp4
  12. Thanks Phil ! The more you do , the more you can i guess . Last weeks i learned a lot more... The brakes are coming along pretty well but it's a lot of trial and error. There is so little room to fit it all. One wing is ready exept for the covers. I'm copying everything now for the other wing. I promissed myself they'd be ready in 2023 so i can start the painting process . MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!
  13. Hello all ! The speed brakes are going to take some time i'm afraid... I made the servo support from alu T profile .It took a lot of fitting before i was happy with it ! It will be screwed on the hard wood support but the screws (M2 )will go into the little back-up plate under the wood for better grip . The little pin on the end goes into a wing rib. The gap on the right is to let the servo wire trough. I love this kind of Jobs! The brakes are next !
  14. Hello all , Another great scale item , and very much needed to slow this bird down on landings are the speed brakes. Flying buddy Ben Van Raemdonck , also 3D printing enthousiast made the moving parts for the brakes. It's Just a test print and a lot of time will be spent adapting them to the wings and form 4 complete drop-in brake units .The wiring is already inplace in the wings up to the receiver .
  15. Hello all ! Thanks for the likes on previous posts ! Last on the accessoires list are the mass balancers on the aileron trim tabs. They are not functional and the balancers will be glued in. First pic is the real stuff.
  16. Hello all ! Gun ports , nose antennes, de-icer , done !
  17. Hello again , no time to waste ! Today i sanded the gunports , not filled yet , but made some guns from 2 different diameters plastic tube . Looks fine to me !
  18. Hello all ! Today i cutted out the two gun ports and presented them to the fuse. It won't be easy to get them in because of the formers inside the fuse. I opened up the fuse and after a while sanding with the dremel i got them in.Satisfied with the fit , i glued them in with 30 min epoxy They stil need some sanding and filling but overall i like them.with the guns in place it will look good !
  19. Hi all ! as in the last photo , my chosen version has the big antennas upfront. While the paint on the new little mould drys , i took a shot at replicating these. I started to glue 3 layers of 1.5mm epoxy plate together , cut it to the desired shape , and sanded the rest off with a dremel and sandpaper. I'm not sure yet , how to fix them to the fuse but they do look good !!
