  1. Hi Chris , I am using hitch servos for the wing. They are mg 85 mg . Are the servo throws on the wing 20 mm up and 8 mm down . I am struggling to get 20 mm with the small servo arms and am using a taranis radio. I have the ball link on the bottom hole on the torque rod and the outside hole on the servo arm . I have put an extension on the servo arm and I can get about 17 mm , but I would sooner have more and reduce in the transmitter end. Any ideas. Your servo arms don't look like they are long . Have you measured how much you are getting. Thanks john
  2. Hi Phil, I am using canopy glue for fixing the cockpit canopy , does the glue stick to painted serf aces or has it to be bare wood. Thanks John
  3. Hi Phil , is there an instrument panel to download and how do you get it to fit the size
  4. had to wait a bit for this pilot for my f86 , but I think it was worth it. Had to take out the floor I put in to get it into the model . Got it from real pilots .com.
  5. Hi phil, have you got any total weight on the model yet. Thanks John
  6. hi everyone. Has anyone built this glider. Jill's smitts desighned it and it's about 4 metres wingspan. I got the plans from sailplanes international I think . I got a bit upset when I asked a couple of questions about the model . The last former was missing a couple of slots and I asked about this. They apparently sold 12 of these plans and nobody said anything about it . There are no aileron or rudder throws on the plan at all. I asked about 3 questions and the guy on the shop said have you ever built a plane before and suggested I did not build the plane. I am used to scratch build planes and this is a more modern way of building it. There are tabs on the ailerons and elevater etc. Anyway I could do with some help with photos especially with the rudder pictures etc. Thanks for any help and does anyone have any more info on the orme meeting.
  7. Hi, if anyone has had any problems contacting real model pilots , the email address is , [email protected]. And the guy in charge is called Sean . His number is 0194981982. Hope this helps anyone interested. You can get them printed and painted for an extra amount. They are a bit dearer than some but are very good models.
  8. Thanks for the reply , seems I have upset some people , sorry fr that. I have passed both my a and b certificate to fly on the month of June 1985 , so it's not that I don't conform to rules etc. I am saying that the caa are trying to destroy our hobby for whatever motive they are after. I am going to pay the 9 pound to the caa but I am saying it's the thin edge of the wedge . What happens next year when they say they want 50 or 80 pound to register , are all of you going to pay up then like good boys . Not sure what Peter said about the 400 ft rule. But according to the rules you are not supposed to go over that height.
  9. Hi, I think this kit is really rubbish. There are so many mistakes on it that the money you paid for is ridiculous. Surely when one make a kit they should assemble it first to make sure everything is spot on.
  10. Hi all what is the most finishing method used. Will it be too heavy using glass cloth and epoxy resin any thoughts would be welcome.
