  1. Hi Levanter, I am the Isabella designer. It is nice to see someone does build the model. To overcome potential nose heaviness, you could have extended the fuselage length a bit. But I think that a standard 4 cell RC pack far back in the cockpit will be sufficient to get the CoG right. I deliberately designed the wing spar further back and well below the airfoil outer shape. I am always dissatisfied when the main spar and semi spars protrude into the airfoil. Air does not like to flow around sharp corners. I believe that some US designers favor wings with visible spars and semi spars at the very critical first 30% of the airfoil. By having the big recess the iron on film cannot attach to any spar, thus making the airfoil perfect according to its design specifications. Of course, the airfoil at the middle section between two wing ribs is slightly different from the airfoil exactly on the ribs, but again, I have rather a slightly different airfoil than a sharp edge. The Isabella wing provides a very smooth shape, which air really loves. Designers in the 30s actually measured and specified the airfoils that were created by the wing covering hanging down between the ribs. I used the same design methodology also on my glider Carina, which is a very nice flier with a MH30 airfoil. The Isabella wing gets very strong as soon as iron on film is applied. On the other hand, beefing it up a bit is not a bad idea, if modelers decide to put in some extra power. My Isabella was first powered by a 2S power application and later with an Enya Quicky 09. The plane was not used for aerobatics. I get lots of requests for bringing Isabella as a CNC kit to the market. In fact my Kadett is a smaller version of Isabella when you compare the wings. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Marco
  2. All plans of my designs are now available for download on my website www.pepe-aircraft.de I will be updating the Bf 109. The plan shows a sheeted foam wing. Since many foam wing companies went out of business, it is difficult to get wings. I will therefore design a CNC balsa wing. I am also considering kits of both the Bf 109 and the Me 263. I do not expect high sales numbers for the Me 263, but it will be fun to have it available for a group of enthusiasts like me.
  3. As you can read in my previous post, I am still figuring the pic feat. In the mean time, I have collected all the Rechlin Racers Bf 109 and Me 263 pics to open their threats soon.
  4. Attached is a picture of a very early Kadett prototype. As you can see, the wing has just a standard rib-spar design. I changed this to a fully sheeted wing design for serial production. A fully sheeted wing has several advantages; it’s easy to cover with film and the lower sheets can be used as jigs. In fact, the wing can now be built without a plan. We use this unique concept that fully takes advantage off the CAD CNC technologies on all our current models. I do not know how to attache a picture. Please advise. Regarding the Bf 109 and the Me 263. I designed the planes in 2016 and they were features in a German RC mag. The plans were available through the publisher's website. I just checked and their website does not allow any plan downloads anymore. Strange. I will make the plans available as direct downloads on my website for these and all the other designs. My favorite are actually ULF 2 and Isabella. A modeler from the UK already contacted me some weeks ago to ask for the ULF 2 plans which I happily provided to him. ULF 2 flies here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eurzAfSBuAg&t=167s I was so excited that I could neither speak English or German anymore, because I handed the maiden over to Sebring. I would normally maiden my designs myself, but to have a third party do it had lots of advantages regarding third opinion ect. You can see the Bf 109 fly here. Also Sebring on the sticks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNEPx1l-hMk Jordan, who is flying the Isabella in the video, was still new to RC flying when we did the video. I actually designed the planes to have fun with the guys in an area with very limited supplies. To keep everything simple was mandatory. As soon as I know how to attach pictures I will open new topics for the Messerschmitts to share pics and some more information with you. The Kadett is based on the Isabella. Kadett is a bit smaller but has retained the very gentle flying characteristics of Isabella. There were plans to make Isabetta, a bi-plane. Right now I am leaning towards making an Isabella CNC kit with around 160ccm wing span, or a bigger one with 200cm. I imagine it fun to have Isabella with 200cm wingspan putzing around slow speed all Sunday afternoon.
  5. Hello, PEPE Aircraft is a relatively new company in the kit market. Our first kit, the Kadett, was reviewed by David Ashby in the March RCM&E issue. Sussex Model Centre has been selling kits in the UK, but kits can also be purchased directly from our own webshop. The Kadett is a beginners plane for modelers who can fly already and who want to get into kit building. The Kadett is easy to fly, but since it is rather small I would not fly it as my first plane. Experts will enjoy building the kit just to relax and have some fun between other projects. I open this thread as a Q&A threat to allow anyone who intents to build or who is already in the building process to come forward with questions or anything you want to say about the model. Since I am the designer, I feel it may help a lot if I gave the answers. I also invite anyone else to help. Also, any of your ideas my help to improve the product quality. 6. I purchased radios from any of the following brands, JR, Futaba, HiTec, Spektrum, SJ, Sanwa and I reviewed some of them for German and USA RC mags. All radios performed well. I currently use a Futaba 12FG. I simply like this radio for its design and programming features. I also have a brand new Sanwa RD8000. It's 90ties old school and I love it. I fly a 90ties old school glider with it. I guy in Danmark still has stocks of these Sanwa MHz radios. Also receivers... Here is a video of my old school glider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qs3_ZfJdrw
