John.... I'm as light as a feather or shal i say as light as my very delicate umx timber...oh look we back here again...thus asking which plane to buy next.. Oh John are you any good with electrical items if so I can offer you a job and I guarantee we get your ballance above the shady 120. But John can i ask you a question... Which plane do you think I should buy next... Oh John can i ask you something else ...if money was no object like above 120 or so would you consider a new plane...

Wow thanks Nigel a nice HELPFULL and on the subject message.... everybody on here should take a leaf from your book. So Nigel I can fly both my apprentice and umx timber off safe mode but I would say only 80% then I panic and flick back on. But that's the glory or safe mode (in my opinion) I have dabbled with expo but then i think flew round once and had to land and run back as my daughter was running off down the field. And tbh I only like to look at the maule not fly it. I absolutely love the way the timer flys and love the safe feature (in my oppinion) but it's so delicate. I want something inbetween the timber and apprentice size wise and that's stronger than timber but flys like timber. None of you on here need to pave the way of my hobby but I'm happy to listen to advice/ideas on my next model. And yes I will have 4 working planes but don't worry I work my bum off and can afford it and IT NEEDS TO HAVE STABILITY AS THAT IS WHAT I FEEL COMFTABLE WITH. And Denis W "I have sent you a private message" but you have not replied......! So Nigel which plane if you were me would you buy next? And I will throw abother question in the mix for all to answer... (but not to divert from the point of question) So what is so terribly wrong with wanting and enjoying and buying planes (and or with safe) One more question..... What's wrong with having (in my case 3) flying one....whilst fixing one.....whilst looking at one...... Just another quick question do you think it is irresponsible to fly knowing that I could crash it with stability off? Sorry One More Isn't it a responsible thing to do if I'm flying on my own to make sure whilst I'm learning have the option to flick a switch that stables the plane and not crash say into a house car or a child on the field. And before u all say it....the club's I've been to have houses cars people and children near the flight area.......... But I think I know the answers to all that bar my original question after the sim questions is what plane shal i get next. One more quick question... I have made some really fancy brackets on my living room wall to mount a plane only to look at not to fly. Ha dare I ask what you all think to that........ It took me nearly a year to persuade my partner to allow the plane on living room wall.... Do you think I'm allowed by the forum members to put a plane there.. Could you also tell me the average bank ballance of the forum members and how many planes they have regardless of experience just so I can make a pie chart to see of your advice is going to be of advantage. Well I'd say thanks for your reply but I must be honest I found that pretty unhelpful. I.dint ask your advice on how to further and enjoy my hobby I asked advice to which plane to buy next. You obviously have a lot of time on your hands....where as I work 12 hours a day and any spare time I am a dad to a 2year old girl and one one the way and I'm the sole earner so have to work all the time. And I have another love which is off road motorcycles so Any other spare time is taken up by that. So I really have limited time to fly.... also in MY hobby I like safe mode....also in MY HOBBY I can flick between safe and none safe (stability) as suits to MY hobby......also thru my gate in my garden is a 7 acre field which I can walk and fly and walk back and get back to my farther duties or bikes or work or many a job that needs doing in my house....also I tried to use a sim but can't get any to work (see previous post) also..... I can fly pretty good and suits MY hobby.. ..also I tend to find with owning a business (which I do) that I earn allot of money..... (Which i do) so i cab buy any plane i want and crash it and not worry cos i can just buy another also....in MY hobby the parts I like most is looking at my dx6......choosing and buying planes....making a braket for it in my garage.....then making sure is all set up.....buying the best battires I can.... Then I fly (badly or not is a matter of opinion that I'm not asking for clarification on) then I may crash I may not I may flick safe off I may not (but having an option of safe is perfect for MY hobby) and if I do crash I really enjoy sticking it back together and really enjoy the proces of finding and ordering the parts.....then I can walk thry my gate and fly again............ I have one really good friend who lives 2 doors down and he answers all my questions and I trust him and we fly together.... other than that my partner says she much prefers the rough me who races off road bikes not the geeky me who pines planes l...... So (and this slightly directed to the chap who "privately messaged me" when I get a min free which I don't often and if I do I'm pushed toward using or spending time on bikes I try my best to take part in MY hobby but I really don't get time. Thus the none replys for days...all I tried to ask this forum is WHICH PLANE TO GET NEXT WITH MY CIRCUMSTANCES......... feel really upset that you send me all that advice and absolutly nothing to do with the next plane to buy to suit MY hobby..... Hi everyone sorry I have been so busy with work. So need some advice if anyone would like to help. I sent this to horizon so just thorght be good to ask you guys..... Hi, I have a apprentice 15e? A maule A umx timber? I am looking to buy another but I need some advice... It has to have safe or as3x (still learning) I want it bigger and stronger than the mini timber but not as big as apprentice. My experience is.... Learned on the apprentice and half way thru bought maule and timber together I love the way the apprentice flys but find it bit dull then I flew the maule and it was too much for me and I nearly had a heart attack cos it's too big and cumbersome. Then a flew the mini timber and absolutly love it how it reacts how it flys how I can fit in boot and take where ever but you breath on it and it breaks in half. Last time I flew it the aleron mount just fell thru the polystyrene so I had to crash land it. Very dissapointed. Oh and I really fancy like a war bird or by plane. Hope you can help. Rob

Thanks for all the replys. I'm trying pics sim at the moment. Need some help with the Dr and expo on my dx6. So i have been advised to put Dr to 0 and expo to 70 and fly with safe mode off....what do you think. Alright maule apprentice and umx timber. Rob

Yeah I fly alone and my partner doesn't really like this hobby but I absolutly love it and can't get enough but knowledge is so limited but I'm keen and ready to learn. I have got okay at it but still learning. So for e.g. if a bought a mini wat4 how would I get it to stabilise and what would I need to buy. And would they be a file to download to my dx6 for all the settings. As I said I'm very new to all this. Rob

Hi I have a dx6 and can only fly with trainer modes so far so been using horizon with safe tech. Can anyone suggest a nice cheap strong plane to buy that will link to my dx6 and have training modes. So far I have All eflight Maule Apprentice 15e Umx timber
