  1. Cheers for all the responses chaps…I am now sorted
  2. Hi all, I’m on the lookout for a Jnr 60 kit in case anyone has one to sell, but would not decline a built airframe (ic) if one were available. cheers m’dears
  3. I don’t suppose there's a Jnr 60 kit hiding in that lot?
  4. Does anyone know if these are identical to Magnatilla ribs in dimensions?
  5. It’s 35meg, I’m looking for 2.4 cheers
  6. Does anyone know if there are still ‘old style’ versions of the above transmitter available….even if it is in the ‘Garish Yellow’ colour? I don’t suppose there are given that the new version has been available for a while, but I’d still like one if I could find one
  7. I’m looking to get a new Tx, I currently use a 2.4 Cockpit Sx (old style) but I find the aerial quite vulnerable and have replaced it twice now. my concern with the New Cockpit Sx9 are the 2 side switches sticking out …which to me are just a matter of time before they get damaged…has anyone got any experience of this Tx and can confirm or deny my concerns. As it looks like a genuine design flaw given there’s no tray to ‘protect’ them
  8. Lovely chap, we met for the first time at the Nats a few years ago when he insisted on taking this pic and chatting up my wife….helluva character always wanted to chat and soooo enthusiastic, he had an infectious grin, always made me laugh as you can see
  9. Does this include that Diesel fuel will also be done by Optifuel?
  10. It’s very hard to separate, try using a pin or a blade to go through the film close to the edge...there's a definite technique to it

  12. I have a ‘Hornet’ starter for use on my smaller engines, never bust one yet....as long as you’re careful not to hydraulic lock then your safe
  13. This is a really interesting thread. With lots of good info.. and I have just received a Seamaster plan with a view to building it over the winter, however I’d like to make a fibreglass fuselage as I have acquired some experience in that field...
  14. Been building, repairing and generally fettling my fleet... thus far.. installed a tow release in a Habicht, built a Sharkface and a Vic Smeed Chatterbox, next is a Carina and a Madcap...I’m loving all this build time
  15. I have a plan for the plouf, flew nicely too....currently out of the country though Edited By Bustergrunt on 07/10/2019 23:13:04
  16. I arrived at 1745 hrs and drove straight onto the campsite, set up complete by 1830 hrs...a hot and sweaty weekend but the facilities were excellent.... bring and buy was epic...spent loads, got BARGAINS!
  17. Get a travel iron, I’ve used one for covering for years..... covering...cut a slightly oversize piece, tack the opposite ends of the part your covering I.e. wing root and wing tip make sure it’s laying straight with no wrinkles...then carefully go around the edges, tacking it I;place, teasing out any wrinkles before tacking it in p,ace with the iron. when you’re happy that all the edges are stuck down and there are no wrinkles, go over all the edges with the iron (gently) to ensure they are adhered to the airframe, roll over the edges where they go from lower to upper surface (cover bottom first) then place a thin cotton sock over the iron and gently go from one end to the other, shrinking the film. finally, using a hairdryer, apply a gentle heat to the panel. but in any event there will be instructions on the roll of film
  18. The server of the host has been hacked and we’re in the process of getting a new website hopefully including a web shop. The workshop is open still open and we’re taking order by phone and e-mail in the interim period.... There’s usually someone on the workshop between 0800 and 1800 Mon to Fri to take any calls

  21. I’ve just acquired a mostly built one and am in the process of conversion to electric too
  22. Posted by Erfolg on 29/11/2017 14:52:03: Buster Please report how your model flies. There was one (possibly still exists) in our club, with an electric motor, and Lipo. The owner could not get it to fly, seemingly unresponsive to rudder and elevator. It will be very interesting how you get yours or have got your model to fly. As yet unflown, but it is free flight for the Bowden comp...just a building exercise before I start on my Junior 60
