  1. Here’s my placement. Didn’t need any weights to get it in the sweet spot.
  2. Looks great, Tony! If it flies anything like mine, you find it extremely stable and easy to fly. As we have he same motor/battery selection - I found it more than adequate. i followed Lindsay Todd’s guidelines on throws. Now have mine stepped up a notch and looking forward to getting up tomorrow. RE balance - I have my motor really far back with a liteply box to hold it in place. Hope it goes well - I’m sure you’ll be delighted!
  3. Looked at a couple of pics from the maiden flight, specifically one where i was banked round for a pass, and thought the wing looked a bit too narrow... Now have new wingtips added. Will be sanding flush tonight and recovered. Then had another thought... The wing is quite far back in the fuselage. It almost looks like the placement for a lower wing on a biplane. Further (possibly ridiculous) thought, what if it was a biplane? Just build a new one with the cockpit set back against Former 4 and cabane struts between F2 and F3. A second top wing would have no dihedral and likely a cut out at the back around the cockpit - that would look really good... Now browsing SLEC and debating whether or not it's worth the 'spousal tension'....
  4. Looking really good, Tony. Not long until you get up now?! Have you worked out your ESC and battery placement? I ended up placing the ESC behind the engine firewall with a cooling hole opened up for it. The battery was immediately behind and it gave me perfect balance - no weights needed.
  5. That looks absolutely perfect... How did you get the covering so neat, especially on the wing tip?!
  6. And it flies!!! Went to my club fly in yesterday. Not ideal with gusting conditions and busy air space, but went well. Got up twice - one test flight to check handling and then a second with some light aerobatics. Now working on increasing the throws and getting used to it.
  7. Looking good, Chris. What motor/battery setup have you gone for?
  8. I've decided on an APC 13x7. Just completed my power up test and balanced. Will be checked the control deflections later and then its 'wait for a calm day'! Hope to get up this weekend for the maiden.
  9. Looking great! Ripmax Quantum 40? If so, I’m using exactly the same with a 4S lipo.
  10. All covered up! Motor mount and radio gear tomorrow..
