  1. They think they've entered....     They have now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. OK..  You missed me last month..!!  Here is the winning entry for Feb...
  3. 40 years old, been involved in flying since April 07 and have mostly built the Bushwacker from the RCME plan, and bought a job lot of about 15 'part finished' kits, and scratchbuild frames....
  4. I have nothing to add to this discussion.....  I have not read the article you are talking about.....    I suggest if it offends you,  you follow my lead!!
  5. Myrdon.. ( :) ) Thanks for the kind words... I would like to stick with the 'noisy' end of the hobby if possible... It's just that Electric seems to be so much more accessible.. I do have a large Highwing trainer with a Thunder Tiger Glow engine, hanging in the shed, but I am too scared to try it out.. I do intend joininig a local club, once the weather sorts itself out... I just thought, if I build one, and it's easy, it won't matter if I land it a little hard!!.. :) or upside down.... :( What I need is a weekend where 'her indoors' is busy, get out there, and finish building and get flying.....
  6. Jetsome. Not meaning to cause any offense to anyone interested in 'other' aspects of flying...... The reason that I am so interested in seeing the Bushwhacker article finished, is precicely because I am new to the hobby... I have no past issues to call on, and really just wanted 'hand holding' through my first build....... I look forward to the day, when I can look back on newbies entering the arena, and glibly say, "just have a go... there's nothing to it... " :) j/k Ian..
  7. David. thanks for the speedy response... So it's back to the flight simulator for me then.. :( Or perhaps a visit to the 'dark side' and a foam/electric just to work my way up to the Bushwhacker.................
  8. Bushwhacker Gone Walkabouts...... What a dissapointment... I was looking forward to the Engine, and radio fitting in this months mag, only to find it missing....... I know that Aug mag said, "next time", and not "next month..." But really..........come on guys.. I want this finished and flying THIS year! :) If it's a matter of space in the mag, surely, a multi page write up on Turbines (which will appeal to a tiny minority, based on cost alone) could have waited!!..... Lets hope it makes it into next months, and I can manage to contain my eagerness to get this kite in the air......
  9. **cough** Bushwhacker photo's. **cough** :-)
  10. Mine arrived Yesterday, and I found putting one of the small Aluminium weights on the bottom of the nose encourages it to move forwards... What a Fantastic free gift..... Thanks RCME
  11. Tom. I hope you are feeling better after your trip to Hospital... No worries about the Bushwhacker page, Just a noob eager to get started!!....
  12. Thanks David, But I meant a Web page.. :-/ The link to the page mentioned in the mag, (Pg 66) , modelflying.co.uk/bushwhacker is not yet active.. I was wondering if it is still going to be created, as there are going to be additional Photo's on there...
  13. Will there be a Bushwhacker page?.. It does not seem to be here yet?..
  14. Tony.. Not started building yet, as I only got the book a couple of weeks ago, and I am still 'pre-reading', and getting all the supplies I am going to need. I am starting from scratch... So my local model shop is doing rather well out of me at the moment!! (don't tell the wife though!) I thought I might miss out the Gliders and start with the Piper, rubber powered model...
  15. I got this book from Amazon... It's great.. For the total noob, it gives 3 different versions of the instructions.. 1 Straight talking , no nonsense instructions 2 Why do we do this - layman version 3 Explanation of why... Lots of pictures, and plans you can Photocopy and Iron on.... Recommended!!...
