Forum members' new models: Let's see them.

It lands very well GG 11 flights up to now, unfortunately some of the sheep wander on to the strip and they provide the poop. The bend in the wings keep the fuselage clean so minimum mess -

My latest build, a Brian Taylor Corsair, precut parts from Sarik. The plan shows fixed undercarriage, twist and turn retracts don't fare very well on our strip so no undercarriage and a dolly launch. Video from a mobile phone. 61" span 580kv 5556 motor 5s 5000 8lb weight ready to fly. VID-20240216-WA0001.mp4 -
Winter is here....who's been flying?

Not a bad day up in the North East, wind a little blustery but the Warbirds FW190 and the Brian taylor Corsair managed very well had a 4 hour session 9 turned up. The Corsair on one flight with a new 5s 5000 flew just over 9 minutes and had 49% left. Most flights were around 7 mins with over 50% left in the battery. The photos were from a camera video -

The come already wrapped in immaculate clean towels which did not stay clean when I dragged them through the mud. No doubt it will be the top topic at the club meeting tonight. The member who first reported them wouldn't touch them and cleared off . Nothing would deter me from going flying -

Sunny with a strong wind in North West Durham, only one there. Flew my Brian Taylor Corsair but the wond became blustery so after a few flights headed for home. Some fly tipper had dumped two sex dolls and a suitcase at the entrance to the field, which I had to move to get to the gate. I did not realise how heavy they were and could only drag them out of the way. Before anyone says it I don't think they were drag Queens. -

Don't worry about the balance, mine flew well and made a perfect downwind landing without a battery 😀 -
I'm not that lucky 😕

Winter is here....who's been flying?

We had 3hrs of sunny windless weather today, flew the Warbirds FW190 and the Brian Taylor Corsair then the fog came down and forgot to o away. -
WARNING! The battery exited my FW190 during a roll , it flew out as the plane levelled at about 60ft. Despite a strong wind the battery less plane flew two flat circuits and made a perfect downwind landing. The problem was the hatch catch lever had moved on the pin giving the impression the hatch was closed. Pushing the pin from the back restores the original position. I have flown the plane today but the lever moved again after 2 successful flights, my batteries just fit in so I have to put pressure on the hatch to align the pin with the hole. Using lower capacity batteries may not be a problem but do make sure the catch is secure before flying even though the lever is at the end of the slot the pin may not be in the hole

A cold sunny morning with light wind and i Maidened the Corsair, No dramas only needed down trim once it left the dolly. It broke the prop on landing so only one flight. I also flew the Warbirds FW190, the wind picked up and a few drops of snow, everyone headed for home. -
71" Mosquito hand launch, I have an Aerotech kit for a Mosquito but it will have retracts. When the weather improves I may try the Mosquito off the dolly depending on how it handles the Corsair.
-
Would this be the one Brian? I've been looking at it lately as I have quite a few 3s 2200 batteries doing nothing. A David Boddington design.

1Just finished a Brian Taylor Corsair, hopefully it will get its Maiden tomorrow before the snow arrives. With all the problems fellow club members have With retracts particularly twist and turn I'm putting my trust in a modification to the dolly I made for the FW190. The Corsair never looks right with Stuka type wings ie but joined instead of bent, not easy to make for a quick build. The Fairey Firefly Mk 5 would be a good subject for a quick build but not much choice for liveries. The Wildcat apart from the undercarriage has a lot going for it Straight taper wings large tailplane but the fuselage would have to be foam blocks for a quick build.

They are not too noticeable Ron, if you kept quiet nobody would have known. -
Probably lost it when he got legless.
