  1. Ahh. Makes perfect sense with the diagram . Thanks for the quick reply . All the best.
  2. Peter , may I ask a question about one of the recommendations made in Ch 2 regarding engine realignment to achieve S +L flight as full throttle is applied ? In dot point 21 it says "the adjustments for an electric motor will be the other way round to get the same effect . " This seems counterintuitive , what is the physics to explain this phenomenon ? This is an exceptionally well written book . The point form layout makes for clarity and effective delivery of advice . For those sitting on the fence who are " beginners and improvers " , its full of gems and a bargain to boot.
  3. I own 3 RC sims . RealFlight 9.x , Phoenix 5.x and FSOne . If I could take back all my money and spend it on just one sim it would be FSOne . Its simple to connect virtually any RC transmitter to its USB interface . There is a good selection of planes ( and helis ) ,where the physics of flight for each craft is individually calculated . So ,for example , a flat spin needs a significantly different set of transmitter inputs for each aircraft. As does each aerobatic maneuvre. The interface where the different variables are set prior to flight are intuitive and straightforward . The documents are very good. The lead developer is active and very responsive on the main USA based rc forum. Visually the aircraft , sky , clouds are very pleasing . There are recorded lessons by leading RC pilots and instructors . I could go on, suffice to say FSOne seems to come closest of the three to imitating the behaviour of RC planes at the field and is an excellent teaching aid.

  5. Would someone be good enough to post a side-on view diagram ( or post a link to one that already exists ) of the ideal height relationship between the Laser carb and the fuel tank. ? There are many written descriptions and photos of installations. The photos and videos all suffer from a degree of parallax error and the written sometimes vary in the landmarks used as reference points. This would help this easily confused brain of mine. Thanks heaps
