  1. Linds.W I purchased a phoenix 1600 with the 2212/1400kv motor and thought it a bit under powered, so I put a bigger motor (4023/1050kv) in it, with a 40amp ESC 10x6 prop running off 3s 2200mah lipo's, and it go's vertical 1600 phoenix.pdf 1600 phoenix 1.doc

  3. Hi, sorry about the cock up with the previous post, this advert was found following the "dihedral wing joiner post
  4. Hi Murat I had the same fault as shown in your picture ( Er-2), I contacted prolux directly and was told it was a heater element problem and it would not heat further than 33° (which was correct), they advised me to return the iron to my local dealer or if this was not possible to contact there uk distribution centre, I did this and produced my invoice showing it was under 12 months old and they replaced my iron like for like. If it is helpful the contact details for the UK distributor are:- RUSSELL LEE (Customer services). CML Distribution Ltd, Saxon House Saxon business Park Hanbury Road Bromsgrove Worcestershire B60 Hope this helps Barry
  5. Richard H. Hi, I've completed the balancing and covering of the blades. The covering isn't as bad as it really looks in the picture (honestly). I used a little gadget sourced from China to balance the blades would this be a correct way to achieve the balancing of "AUTO GYRO" blades, as it's supposed to be for helicopters, just a thought, your comments would be appreciated, thanks ?
  6. Thanks Piers, another perfectly good idea and one for future reference, I carried on and persevered with the PVA and completed the balancing of all the blades, now I just need to cover them, thanks again for your input ?
  7. Hi Richard Thanks for your swift reply and your comments within, I will of course let you know of the outcome at a later date, thank you for your help ?
  8. Hi all My name is Barry This is the first time I have entered the foram with a question about balancing autogyro blades, I have read many articles covering this topic with interest, I am at this moment balancing gyroo blades, using the heavier blade No1 as the master, with blades 2 and 3 the lighter, To balance blades 2 and 3 to No1 blade I have been using pva glue, my problem is when I get the correct balance to the master blade as the glue drys the blade becomes lighter and so more pva has to be applied, this seems an laboursley endless procedure. My question is, could I just insert pins into the tips of the lighter blades to balance to the master blade or would this cause any problems??? As you can see I'm new to this and help would be great fully recieved.
  9. Reply to Cymaz I had one of those cards a little while back, it works out as stated a VAT charge, the £8.00 is for a Royal mail employee to open the package. In my case, I made a purchase of £14.95 roughly, (but under the £15.00 limit for vat) The sender mistakenly put on the package label that the cost was £20, so incurred vat and handling charges. I disputed this with customs and excise and showed proof of my purchase order of under £15.00 which they accepted and refunded the vat I had paid. As to the handling charge, I had to contact royal mail (handling charges nothing to do with C&E) as to this they explained that the £8.00 charge stands as it was the senders mistake and I should seek a refund from them, As this was a china transaction I just bit the bullet and let it go. Even my local postie said it was a rip off and they get complaints all the while over handling charges I hope this explains the matter regards Barry
