  2. I'm in the process of putting together an Anderson Kingfisher 1/4 scale flying boat that will do some of what you want but not everything due to its size.
  3. Thanks Andy for posting the video and for presenting tonight. Looking forward to both attempts Simon V

  6. Hi, Just released the final figures. 3109 models in the air at 12 noon on the 15th May 2022 and 263 clubs took part. We have established a new UK absolute record and will be supplying the information to the FAI for the diploma. An application for the World record will follow. A full statement can be seen on the BMFA Facebook page. Thank you to all who participated and for the very positive feedback! I will be releasing more information in the following weeks regarding the attempt. Simon Vaitkevicius BMFA Records Officer.
  7. Hi Ron, I am still working on this and am hoping to have an official press release out very soon! We are having to cross check the names and numbers and all paperwork with the database which is what is taking the time. Simon Vaitkevicius - BMFA Records Officer
  8. Hi, @kcI an preparing a release to the press and participants this Friday with the official figure and will follow up at a later date with an 'In the air' webinar giving some additional information. stories and hopefully a further update as well.
  9. Hi KC, I do see your point however my original aim was to engage as many BMFA members as we could at local club level to come together and set a new record. It appears that we have achieved this and I am very impressed with the effort made by all of the clubs who participated. Many clubs have restrictions on the number of models in the air at one time so to allow for maximum participation darts were allowed. I wanted this to be an activity all could take part in. There are specific records for paper darts. Simon Vaitkevicius
  10. Had a really good attempt and weather was acceptable. 12 fliers flying a mix of RC power, glider FF and I managed one circuit with my ornithopter! We fly from an active airfield so thanks to the club for allowing us 30 mins to fly. No accidents and no black bags needed ? Just got to tot up the results now and report later in the week. Simon
  11. Hi, as the event organiser and BMFA Records Officer thanks for the positive words and enjoying the strategic thinking for getting the most models in the air from the various posts here. Thank you as well to all of the clubs and coordinators for embracing the record as well. Just to clarify the record verification, if all goes to plan we will set a UK absolute record and submit the dossier for the FAI diploma when all of the results are in. The diploma is fantastic recognition of the achievement. We will then submit to Guinness after this. We have around 250 clubs registered at the moment making this the largest multi site model aircraft flying participation activity ever attempted in the UK and possibly the World! I thank you again for your enthusiasm and hope you have a fantastic attempt. Simon Vaitkevicius BMFA Records Officer
