I have been considering one of these as my next purchase so very interested in how it goes together and how it flies!

Only you can make that decision Naz. It depends on how rich you are and whether you will ever use all the other functions on the charger I link to above and the capabilities of the charger you are looking at on ebay. All I will say is that I recommended that charger to a friend of mine and he was very pleased with it.

I assume it is something like this.

Posting below from Steve Hargreaves which I deleted by acident. Sorry  Well.....fuel is a controversial subject...ask 10 modellers & you'll probably get 11 different answers. Model Technics are a long established & well respected company supplying model fuel to the aeromodelling public so I'm sure they know what they are doing......   HOWEVER....   I personally wouldn't use either fuel, particularly if the motors are new. Both fuels would invalidate the warranty as they don't contain enough oil.....!! Dynaglow is 2% castor & 8% synthetic.... & Duraglo is 6% castor & 9% synthetic. Duraglo would probably be OK in your four stoke but a bit low on oil for a two stoke motor..... Just Engines offer some good advise on fuel here.   Personally I use the Southern Modelcraft Mo glow fuel in both 2 & 4 stroke motors.....2% castor & 15% synthetic....cheap as chips (£12 s gallon) too!! Only problem is you can only get it at the shows (so stock up when you go!!!)

I think these test will be very useful. People recharge their batteries before each use because that is what they have always done not because it is necessarily  the best way to do it. More information on the subject will be most useful.I have to say that the Instant Cells in my Dx6i have on ly ever been charged 3 times in the year I have had it and even then they did not take a any where near a full charge each time.Edited By Bruce Richards - Moderator on 08/12/2010 07:46:48

No solo flying rule applies at my club as well. I do not agree with it but I can live with it.

No that's a prop adapter.

I have used loads of 5010 and never had one fail.

Hi jumpy and welcome. That looks like a very interesting and challenging project you have there. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

  Surely moderators should have first choice because of all the free work we put in to keep this forum working and tidy?
