  1. Yep I agree with Daithi, rigging is a pain in the butt down at the flying site, but without all those turnbuckles, wires and odd looking adjustment thingos it rates poorly when showing it off, ( lots of works for minimum flurry of handclaps ) So my wishs would be the Piston Provost,(no retracts yippy ) I actualy looking forward to the plan Cheers all Barry
  2. Outstanding Danny,............................. there's not much more to say Barry Edited By A.A. Barry on 09/02/2016 23:55:46
  3. I am "over the moon" with supprise and joy that the Whirlwind has made the short list, another time hey Tony???????/ or this year?????, it's been over 5 yrs since that you suggested, that it was one you wanted to build  Erflog, as for the long moment on the W/wind, , carefully chosen wood and the use of other light materials, the issue is greatly reduced, bearing in mind that you got either 2 x I.C engines up ft or a lipo battery stuck in the fuz, will compensate for that issue a well. Cheers all Barry nee... depot of Whirly nuts Edited By A.A. Barry on 26/01/2016 23:38:53 Edited By A.A. Barry on 26/01/2016 23:41:56

  5. Well hear i go again, new model just finished, yep great, all looks fine until I find that I have both ailerons moving in the same direction , is there a way to program the tx to reverse one on the aileron servo, without adding a electronic servo reverser, the model is rather small and another bit of electronic box/board, will be rather messy Any help guys???????????????????????????????????? 6. Yep Martyn I agree, Hawker Fury with the option to add a lower radiator and other small differences to turn it into a Nimrod Barry
  7. Any help with a plan or a Blenhiem??? thanks Barry
  8. Craig, this the problem that happes a lot, different manufactures have different machine tolerances. So what is needed is bolts that screw in with out the slop, H\K bolts vary in tolerances, bolt per bolt Order new ones from the DLE manufactures and all should be good All the best Barry
  9. NIce Colin...... the Blenheim is a interesting one.......i'd be keen for that,  along with the CR42 Barry Edited By A.A. Barry on 17/01/2016 12:45:53 Edited By A.A. Barry on 17/01/2016 12:48:17

  13. I generally go home if it starts raining B
  14. Jon my 2 bob's worth ...... I have not had the pleasure of owning Laser, but where as large models require deep pockets which I don't have,....to get your engines a greater niche of the engine sales, reducing the size and this would bring down he cost.... more motors mean more people involved....petrol powered 10cc and 15cc, should be a grand starting point, Trimming down the crankcase to reduce weight and achieve a better look, would also help As I said my 2 bob's worth Barry
  15. Happy New Year Danny, your skills are amazing...... Barry
  16. Well I've had several updates over the last couple of weeks, I now have lost "EDGE" all together luckily Google chrome wasn't deleted on the set up, pics I can downloaded from my SD card, but where they have gone, I dunno, .....big black hole....somewhereSO it is not a happy New Year, can anyone help please????
  17. yes, somehow Westland must have had a few odd bits laying around........"perhaps if we put this on there and this he....by George I think we've done" Barry
  18. At 13lbs ...(a shade under 6kg) I would think the 5065 will do the job nicely, From all I have read on the subject, it appeared to be a good flyer, it failed in the speed and manageability trials due mainly because of the upper gun. It simply too heavy for the wing loading, We as modelers wont have that problems. I will try to keep mine down to around 11.0lbs or 5.kg. Interesting subject Barry Edited By A.A. 19. Yes I also have the Laser Design Services model, I bought a short kit, good value ( cheap shipping and the "cut " is 1st class, I have sworn to get this one started as soon as I finish off the Whirlwind Nice size at 73/4", because of the tapered nose, ( as most British WW2 fighters are) I bought a 5065 motor for it, if you start a build thread, I may join in with ya, let me know please Cheers Barry
  20. To save a few $'s, I am going to photo copy the "free plan" in it's folded markings and then tape them all together, that way I will have a working plan on thicker paper and replacable. Cheers Barry
  21. Geof/Dylan, is there any updates on the Whirly, I just may build #4. bigger is better......for this aircraft Barry
  22. I actually went thro the sheeting on the aera where the T.E of the wing, I then added more balsa inside the fuz, that aera was the trickiest part of the build Cheers Barry
