  1. Looks OK, might need a little fettling but still ok
  2. Yea, found that out the hard way...? ...as you do. Please let me know how it turns out at 50%. I plan on using mine in an old DB kit of an albertross C1 but at its current size is way to big. So really interested in what you find out. Cheers Si.

  6. Hi all, just a quick question regarding the above. "What do you use for covering foam?" I'm about to build my first foam model a Piper Cherokee, just a small one about 50ins w/s. When built, should I use glass cloth and PVA, or maybe epoxy? what about that self adhesive flim? Just not sure which is the right choice. What do you think? All suggestions welcomed.
  7. My reworked Seagull Bristol M1C. Covered in Sig kovall for that bleached linen look. Heavily weathed as this was stationed at a training school. Pilot and gun 3d printed. Electric on 12s. (It's got a big motor ihsf laying around.)
  8. Can't see why some of you are concerned about the ownership etc. I use to subscribe to the old Sale International and enjoyed it learning too. I've subscribed to the new one and recently received the latest copy. Personally I'm glad it's back
  9. Chaps, how do I simulate the large fuselage panel stitching you word associate with say, the side of an se5a. I have a refurb to do on a Bristol m1c (seagull arft 1/5 scale) but there are a couple of areas that show these big stichers, but I just don't know how to reproduce them....Any help?
  10. Gents I'm seeking your knowledge, looking for a 40/50 ic size electric motor. What are your recommendations. I'm planning a tri motor JU52, the German transport aircraft with the corrugated skin. Any help appreciated. Al.
  11. Looking for advice, could someone recommend a 120 ic size electric motor equivalent. Recently acquired an Ancona C1 scout and wish to change it to electric....however I'm not sure about how to work out the correct one. Can anyone help
  12. Chaps, need some help with the above. Despite my best efforts in masking the canopy frame of my lysander, after painting, I still find the paint has managed to bleed under the tape. I have tried a little thinners, some white spirit, even isopropyl alcohol and even resorted to trying to scrape the dried paint off with a modelling knife....nothing has worked...any help greatly appreciated. Allan.
  13. Chaps, any of you have any experience in making a plaster mould from any existing canopy in order to make a new canopy. Advice needed.
  14. That looks good Karl. I don't understand what you mean by cut-off half the flutes and did you need to fill the ends of the card?
