  1. I have now had a few good flights with the Xtreme now,and love how it flys. Its s big pussycat in the air.Its fitted with a DL50 and nicely tuned in. I'm trying to decide what size spinner to put on her.Im about to tackle the task of cutting the cowl, not really looking forward to that job. I do have a 102mm spinner hanging around but cant decide if it's too big or not. Does anybody have an xtreme who could let me know what they have fitted?
  2. I do intend to do that but only had one short flight so far.Going to hopefully be flying more on monday.
  3. Just looking for a rough idea on flight times.Im running a Spektrum Powersafe receiver with two 2200 2s lipos. The ignition is on a separate battery. I'm only flying around fairly gently,no real Aerobatics, just circuits with the odd stall turn etc.The plane is a Wot4 Xtreme. Can anybody give me there thoughts?
  4. Thanks very much for the responses.Im picking it up next week, will let you know how it goes.
  5. Many thanks for the replies,a few things there to keep in mind.As to restraints, apart from a helper, what would you suggest?
  6. Just thought i would add,i do have a very experienced friend who will be assisting me until im familiar with this plane.
  7. Im about to get my first petrol plane.I know what equipment i need for glow engines but was wondering what field eqipment people take when flying larger petrol planes? The plane is a Wot4 xtreme.   Edited By flyeruk on 05/03/2019 19:04:42
  8. I had the same problem when i fitted to my Radian Pro.Couldnt figure it out.Plugged the esc into the data port,it now works perfectly.
  9. Just one other question if i may. This is my first glider.Im not looking to hunt thermals or go to high, eye sight lets me down there, what sort of flight times should i get just general sports flying?
  10. Thanks for the replies.3s it is then.Edited By flyeruk on 06/01/2019 19:13:16
  11. I have just picked up a Radian Pro.Can anybody tell me if 4s 1800 Lipos could be used in this glider? Reason i ask is i have a load of these batteries and only a couple of 3s lipos.Just trying to use what i already have if possibleEdited By flyeruk on 06/01/2019 16:59:00
  12. Lemon RX 6 Channel Receiver & Satellite - FULL DSMX & DSM2 Once bitten twice shy. I have always used Spektrum since i started flying and never had a problem with Spektrum gear.
  13. Sorry,meant to say,popped a lemon receiver with sat into the Wot4
  14. I have just purchased a dx6. Popped it in my Wot4 at the weekend, brown out, plane dived then connected, only just saved it. I did a range check when i had landed and on reduced power at around 30 yards had only intermittent surface movement. I think i will stick with genuine Spektrum receivers.
  15. Looks like problem found.Dennis, got myself in a right old pickle, thought i had bypassed the switch harness, but i hadnt. Just plugged straight into the receiver, its working perfectly. Thanks for all your inputs;feel a bit of a numpty now!!
  16. I have bypassed the switch,so thats ruled out, also have used 3 different batteries and still the same problem.
  17. Thats what im thinking. Purchased it from a model shop so will go in tomorrow.
  18. Just realised i had a Lemon DSMX receiver. Bound to the DX6,same problem.Move the sticks, receiver cuts out?Any ideas?
  19. Just rebound to my old DX6I and the receivers are fine?
  20. Ok,i have done a bind between the AR7000 and the DX6. All seems to bind ok.The problem now is,when i move the sticks, the receiver is intermittent,ie,light switching on and off and receiver cutting in and out.I have tried binding another DSM2 and the same problem! I haven't got a DSMX receiver to try it out with as yet.
  21. Just had a look at the frame rate in the menu, its switchable between dsmx and dsm2. Assume then that its compatible with the AR7000? Silly question then,do i need to switch between the two, depending on type of receiver i iam using?
  22. Thanks Don.Will do that tomorrow when i get home.Away at the moment.
