  1. I've been building my 63" La7 over the winter and found this thread really helpful, so thanks to those who contributed . Most of the construction is complete so I'm at the covering stage. I intend to use the brown paper method as I've used this before. Ron is there any chance you could post the stl files for the oil cooler/ wing retaining parts you printed.
  2. I have been following this thread since the start, thanks to all who have contributed. I took Tamulosin but was not convinced it made any differance. I also had bladder stones as a complication. I had the turps combined with stone crushing, quite interesting to watch on the monitor ! Flow is much better and I go through the night. I had to use a catherter for a couple of weeks and had several urine infections as a result but now all is ok.
  3. Our club has used this fuel almost exclusively for the past 5-7 years. We take advantage of the discount by buying in bulk as we are quite local. We use the same for all engines apart from the odd laser owner
  4. That was one of the reasons we hired a sit on roller, we had a list of volunteers all wanting to have a go.
  5. We hired a very large diesel powered vibrating roller to do our patch in the spring and will do the same this year. I think the cost delivered was about £120 for the day.
  6. Thanks Matty the weird path is actually an old material covering that we use in the pits. The photo was meant to show the broken I've as well.
  7. Any idea why my photo is upside down? I’ve tried tried to post it upside down but does not reverse the image?
  8. In the early days I had a couple of these and suffered a few Brown outs until I changed to 6v not had one since. I guess they would also be good in electric with a bec at 5 v
  9. Slec fun fly could be a good choice. Very easy to build and will not only fly in any conditions but will do most manouvers you could ask for. Also reasonably priced.
  10. Not a satisfactory end to the season racing. There was no doubt Lewis dominated the race and even though Max was catching him prior to the safety car it was doubtful he could have won. There must be some changes to the rules around safety car incidents as they often negate the efforts of the driver in the race. A new set of cars for next year so will be interesting as who makes the most of the new terms. Thanks to John P for running the league.
  11. I have Red Bull as my team, but would like to see Lewis win another championship, mainly to fly the flag but also in recognition of his racing spirit. Red Bull I think will be the team for next year. It would be a disappointing end to the season if the race was decided by the stewards or events due to collisions as has happened in the past.
  12. Glad I'm not the only one not able to follow this series.
  13. What are Mercedes playing at an error like this may well decide the championship. Which means all the teams efforts throughout the season are wasted. They are not my team by the way, I just feel it's a shame.
  14. I have not found a mask that does not cause my glasses to steam up so will be interested if anybody has a recommendation.
  15. Only had it happen once. My wheels came down but fortunately it regained a signal and control was returned and landed ok. Still don’t why
  16. I had this brass weight made to fit an os120 it weighs about 200grms. It never gave any problems and ran for several years until the inevitable bad landing.
  17. I have used poly c in the past. Several coats rubbed down inbetween. The last couple of coats I mixed lightweight filler to make like a cream consistency. This covering gave slight ding proof and took the paint well. Other similar varnishes are available. It does not add much weight and has some fuel proofing as well.
  18. I wish it was the Australian kit as it might be summertime! I've been looking to see if the smaller build post is still available but not found it?
  19. Repairs completed so opened the box for the LA 7. Going to need to read the build thread several times before work starts
  20. Come on Richard you know you want a mosquito. Three sold without looking! ?
  21. I have the La7 so will join in with this one. Got a few repairs to complete first so will not be starting immediately.
