  1. I had one of those way back... it was my first 35 meg radio! Mine literally had just the two sticks and that was it. You had to add sliders and switches yourself. Don't recall having a manual - there was nothing to look up, but servo reversing is done by removing the back cover and un-plugging the stick plugs from their sockets and turning them around!
  2. I'm pretty sure that is a Viceroy made by Masterline, (I think). I had one years ago... flew very well.
  3. Hi Gary. I see you haven't had any replies for this one which is unusual, as there is normally someone in the know. I don't know what it is, but could it be an early Chris Foss Phase "something-or-other"? It may just be a "Bitsa" or a plan build. Hopefully this reply may nudge others into replying with more info. Simon.
  4. I swapped from NiMhs to lipos as receiver packs simply for practical reasons... It only takes less than an hour to charge, and I would be charging flight packs anyway, so can be out flying (power or glider) with just a couple of hours notice.
  5. I think its the camera... the cabane struts are doing the same thing.
  6. Remember that us "oldies" all built our "first" kit... No ARTF back then!
  7. Looking forward to it... 😉 (from an experienced modeller)
  8. Looks like their version of the SIG Kadet Senior which is also an excellent model.
  9. If you know he paid 750 Euros for it, and you think that is a reasonable price for that kind of model, then that's the maximum you should offer him, in my opinion, so 500 Euros would be a good starting point.
  10. It may still be a Wot4 wing, as the mark 3 (I think) had a tapered wing... straight LE, tapered TE. Afraid I don't know the dimentions, but the standard "straight" wing Wot4 was 52 inch span.
  11. Unless you are using a high voltage capable receiver and servos, make sure that you are running the 2s pack (7.4 volts) through some sort of voltage regulator to reduce the voltage down to a max of 6 volts, or else everything will fry.
  12. Just seems to me that a lot of the models mentioned don't have retractable landing gear in model form, and you originally specified a model that was a float plane with gearthat could be dropped to exit water... Iwas just pointing out that the Seawind would do exactly as you asked.
  13. I was looking for one at the end of last year. I don't do any social media stuff, but my son-in-law found one for me on FaceBook Marketplace (if that's the correct title).
  14. I had a Crossfire many moons ago until it was wiped out in a mid-air. Great model... I would certainly have another.
  15. I flew my Ruckus on a 4S 2200 using the supplied 11 x 5 prop. Flew great! The 2200 will give you around 8 minutes of "sensible" flying. A couple of changes I made to my Ruckus were to bend the wing spar a bit to give a few degrees dihedral, which, in my opinion, made it more stable, and I changed the u/c for a straight legged unit to bring the wheels back just in front of the leading edge. This makes landing a doddle! A flying mate just turned the original legs around on his so they were facing "backwards" which has the same effect.
  16. OK, thanks... why not tell us a bit about yourself... are you new to aeromodelling, what are your interests etc...
