  1. I am excited to be seeing a free pro-plan of the TSR2, however I think the write up of the full sized TSR2 having flown once is not true, I have a book on this and also on the website, The full size, XR219 was the only one that has flown, having done 24 test flights over 6 months. The next one, XR220 was to be flown in the afternoon on the day when the whole project was cancelled. Can you please review and correct this before the next issue hits the press.
  2. Look it up on google, apparently it's a fake phone number. Am Not sure how it works.
  3. Thanks Ray It looks good and I would love to build one at 102" span and have just started by cutting depron fuselage sections. Got the motors for engines and canopy plus gun turrets and propellers. The front gun turret is crap and front of canopy doesn't look right so will modify by adding front bits. Hoping to put batteries in the wings. Will do a Talboy version from 9th Sqn and will not include a top mid turret. What's your model's weight and centre of gravity? Your photos look great plus how do you do linkages to rudders? (Within the tailplane?) Got photos if you're interested of my bits and pieces. If it goes well, I will do a similar build for a 90" span Manchester. Can do a Mk1 and Mk1A. (Differences is in the back part and Mk1A would be easier to fly. 4. Martin Lewis has warned customers about PayPal as there’s no protection that comes with making purchases through the service. To be honest, I am not sure if it’s for buyers or sellers? Just all users.
  5. Any update with your building of the Lancaster please?
  6. That's very true that size does matter as smaller models has lower wing loading. Models tend to fly faster to compensate. You can scale models but not air itself so to achieve scale speed, you need lighter loading on the wings. Full size has greater penetrating power due to the mass of the aircraft.
  7. Is your Wot 4 nose heavy? Getting into a spin normally is going lazy circles and moving around slower and slower till the turning wing tips down due to lack of lift and some cases the wing tip is actually going backwards. Forcing the wing down normally enters a spiral dive. If you can stall your model, then I don't see that you can't spin. Better start at 400 feet as you can give yourself time to recover Good luck
  8. I did enjoy reading “five ways to spray” in March issue (page 112) and was interested in reading about the compressor for next time and I was hoping to read it in the April issue but I can’t find it. I do hope it will in a future issue. Thanks Keith Edited By David Ashby - Moderator on 09/03/2020 20:10:25
  9. Thanks for saying I don’t support my local shop. I have been for years until they retired and closed shop. The other model chain, the high business rates killed them off so do I go on a car journey a few hours round trip to the nearest model shop just to see what they have? Or go on the internet and it mostly links to Hong Kong?
  10. Have ordered last week of November as both items shown “in stock”. Now it’s 24th January and I have contacted them, One of the items has a warranty issue so it now changed into “back order” As it’s the Chinese New Year, I will have to wait to mid February for an update.
  11. Hi Simon. The AN 124 looks amazing and what’s the total weight including batteries? I work out the maximum thrust could be 3,344g from the 4 EDF units and being hand launched helps. Keith
  12. Hi Callsign Tarnish Did your order come through? If yes how long did it take? I have ordered two full bodied 1/12 scale pilots, one to be painted 5 weeks ago and have sent email via their website, no reply so am interested in how long it will take. I am in Surrey, UK.
  13. Thanks Tony. Any other info you might be interested that I can give you from the book or photos? Happy to help. Keith
