Evening Pat, I had to cut about 2.5mm off the root of the blades to fit in to the existing hub but had two flight this evening as the sun set and she flew great ?????? I owe you a pint. baz

Thanks Pat, just seen my little present. did you have a fly while you were at field. baz

I wouldn’t mind trying the Graupner ones Pat. Not sure if I’ll get today but if you do have time to drop them off at hut you could stick them in a bag with a piece of paper in with name written on and pin to notice board. Get yourself a fly while there as already 4-5 at field. baz

Roughly measured the total prop assembly is 7” so as a sports model it’s probably running a 7x5 or 7x6. a single blade from tip to mounting is 3” Baz

Managed to break one of the folding prop blades on my HobbyKing Super Kinetic while putting it away (Doh) Had a look on HK website and a pack of blades is discontinued but you can get the whole prop assembly but only from global warehouse. Thought about using a different prop but there isn't any markings on either blade to say what size/pitch they are. Anyone got any information please or even have a spare blade I could buy???? Cheers Baz

Just two of us braved the conditions in Northumberland on Monday morning, both with 600 size helicopters. 0 degrees but with no wind at all you could actually feel the warmth from the sun the odd time it appeared from behind the clouds. Baz -

Ken also the American flag PC that I bought off you didn’t last too long as I didn’t close top hatch properly and it came off just after launching and went straight through prop resulting in mid air explosion 😂 Still have my PC Mk2 baz

I had looked at a ripmax one but motor mount was different and it didn’t have the holes in wings to throw it. Must have changed the design. baz
-
The wing has two rectangle holes all the way through near the centre, I’m guessing to hold model as throwing it.

Can anyone help me identify which company made this Mustang? Any details on motor too? Wingspan - 47” length - 40” Motor - HiModel Width -35.4mm, back of motor to start of shaft - 34mm, Shaft 5mm

Has anyone got actual flight experience with the Futaba R3106GF? I’m reading conflicting descriptions online where a couple of shops describe this receiver as a park fly most don’t have anything in description. Got 2 and never thought about it until seen they only have 1 aerial. Wanting to use them in 50size models with full range. thanks in advance. baz

To show the size difference, here's my finished Micro and part built Mini. The rear of wing is lined up with one another. Baz

Since I completed my Micro Blitz a few days ago and haven’t managed to maiden it yet I thought I’d get straight on with building the Mini Blitz too The build will be the same as the Micro using an extra rib to sandwich the fins in between. Next time I build either of these models I’m just going to make solid sheet wings as will save a lot of hassle and with brushless motors the extra weight will be cancelled out with loads of POWER Baz
