J Myers III Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 I popped down to argos a few months back and bought myself a cheap and cheerful little 2-channal F 18 hornet (no really I did). Got home got it out of the box and charged it up. All that done I took it down to the local feild gave it a little chuck and it was away but took a while to trim it but it was worth the wait...I soon had a little 2 channal doing loops and short burst of inverted flight. Somehow the little li-po pack lasted a good 20-30 flights (lasted about a month each charge basicly) with no power loss (no lie). I had it about five months until the day... I was flying in a heavy wind of about 10mph (yes i do take my 2 channal flying to the extreme) and suddenly I gust of wind made it nose dive into the ground......The Hornet, was dead. I taped it back together but all the electricals had suffered the most...it couldn't be saved... Oh and by the way it made an excelent glider!
