Dawn Flyer

Hi, can anybody tell me about the pilot figure for the Dawn Flyer !!!!

The only reference to the figure is Lindsays reference; ' Parkzone Pilot'.

What is the scale and where is the best place to look?. Thank you in advance. Sarik who sell the kit do not stock pilots so I am up a gum tree.

I am also having trouble finding wheels as 'Flair' dont seem to be around!!!!! (3" are reccomended)

Thanks for any suggestions, well all that are physically possible.

Barry

Hi

I started my Dawn flyer year ago but lost the plans due to my divorce and so on.

Where could I get a copy of them as I would really like to build one again.

Plans are available from Sarik.  Bit of a coincidence as I have had my build on ice for some while but recommenced it this week and made the undercarriage.

This type of model needs wheels that look right  - but it would seem that the Flair or Williams Bros wheels are not available now.   I suggest you check to see if you can get suitable wheels before buying the plan or spending time and balsa on this model.

In the past people made disc wheels from ply and fitted O ring rubber as tyres or even made spoked wheels themselves ( see Boddingtons scale book etc )     Nowadays 3D printing seems a possibility , but not everybody has a3D printer.
