Robin Kearney
Plus one for keeping the indexes, but also plus one for having them online in a searchable db. I did ponder writing something to parse the word docs up into a database at one point, but the format they are in would make it a little tricky! r. Andrew Garnell
Hi I also did not know it existed. Just checked it out and will use it in the future for model etc reviews Andy
ericrw
Anyone know if the Thunder Tiger Piper Cub was the subject of a review/artical and if so the Year ??
ericrw
Just had a look at all the issues, 2002 to 2011, but to no avail !!
David Ashby - Moderator
No, that's not a model I recall seeing Eric.
Anthony Billings
Now you have highlighted it David, I will definately be using it.
Paul Holmes 2
It is suprising how when you are looking back through your collection just how far the artical required is. Producing the index for each year is well worth the effort for us older generation wishing to remind ourselves of some important issue we read about. Keep it up. Roger in Dubai
Very useful tool in aiding any of us to find a particular article, use it quite often when going back a few, or more, years. Keep up the good work.
Noel Eaton
Didnt know we had one ,still dont know how to get there, It would have been useful on several occasions, perhaps a more prominent tab or link ? Noel
Big Bandit
I have used it in the past but not recently, it's still a very useful resource though. Chris.
Trots
don't think this is the same thing but I keep a link in my browser favourites list to RCM&E Sitemap, this is a huge list of articles of which I have found some of useful reference.
Allan Bowker
I used the reviews section last week to find Britflight planes, very useful, thanks David
Paul Holmes 2
Having collected every issue since 1966 along with every issue of RM (sad or what), any form of index is very handy, especially when building from one of the free plans or reviews made on kits. Braddock, VC
I 've never used it and, tbh, probably never will. Mags are disposable so why have an index?
Greybeard
It's useful for the digital editions.
IanN
I suspect its an underused resource. However, once you do remember to use it the index is incredibly helpful I rarely find it a hardship thumbing through my boxes of back issues. However, there are occasions where I simply can't find the article or plan that I want, or the memory has played tricks and I'm a couple of years out That can be really frustrating, and a quick check through the indexes usually answers the q within minutes
Cookson
Index ? Where's that ?
Cookson
Just found the link to it, didn't know it existed. I will use it now but why isn't it somewhere more prominent ?
Martyn Johnston
Don't really understand the point of an index that's split into years. If I want to search for an article about a certain subject, but can't remember when it was, am I supposed to search severa times, one for each year. Surely the very purpose of an index is to help us find something; if it isn't all in one big index then it doesn't really do that.
Martyn Johnston
I just typed the word 'Index' into the main 'Search This Site' box, on the home page, and it found NOTHING. This might be the reason that people don't use the index, or the search box.
PaulH
Never knew it existed, but doesn't seem to be very useful as a word document for each year. It would be a wonderful reference in conjunction with the digital copies if it was on-line and you could just click on the index and go to the article you wanted to read.
