Top scorer today was Simon with 168 points.  John S was only 6 points adrift with 162 earning him second today with Chris third today only another 4 points back on 158.  Well done to today's top three!

No change in the top 2 with John S retaining top spot and Chris holding onto second.  John's lead increases slightly - by the 4 points difference between them today.

 

There's a change just below them though,  with Tony moving up 2 places to third.  This means that Glenn and Iqon each move down a place, to 4th and 5th respectively.

 

No further place changes today, though with today's win Simon narrows the gap to me at the foot of the table,  and I slightly narrow the gap to Kev.

 

Next up is Turkey in 2 weeks' time.  I'm (hopefully) going to be in Vancouver then, so not sure what time of day the race will be for me - most likely silly o'clock in the morning!  I'll post reminders and results as and when I can, but it may be at "strange" times of the day as Vancouver is 8 hours behind UK-time.

Good afternoon* everybody, from a sunny but cool Vancouver!

 

Chris has already said it (thanks Chris!) but I'll say it again;

So it seems that Hamilton has topped both P1 and P2,  but will have a 10-place grid penalty for using too many engine parts.. Leclerc was second in P2, whilst Verstappen was second in P1.

 

Qualifying is at 5am (PDT) for me,  that's 1pm UK time,  the race on Sunday is at the same time.

 

I'm off to Whistler in a few hours for the (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend.  I very much doubt I'll see either qualifying or the race,  I'll try and post the results on Sunday - but it might be late!  If Chris, or anybody else, wants to post them (after Channel 4's coverage has finished!) then please do so!

Evening all!  As the UK wakes up to Monday morning,  it's just after 11pm here in Whistler, B.C. on a Sunday night of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  The temperature is hovering around zero currently...

 

And now a few details from today/yesterday's race results;

 

A low-scoring result today,  John S tops today's scores with 137 points, ahead of Chris on 133 and John T on 127.  Well done to today's top 3!

 

In the overall table John S holds his lead over Chris and indeed increases it by 4 points.  The only place changes today are Iqon moving up to 4th, pushing Glenn down to 5th.

 

Next up is the US GP in two weeks time - don't forget your predictions!

Evening all,  and yes I am back from Canada, and trying to convince myself that it's 9pm and not 1pm (Pacific Daylight Time that I left behind a couple of days ago...) 

 

Thanks Chris for setting the stage - and we're now about 15 minutes into P2 at Austin, Texas for the USA GP.  Mercedes headed P1 with Bottas less than half a tenth of a second ahead of Hamilton.  Verstappen was third followed by the two Ferraris.

 

Qualifying is tomorrow at 10 pm UK time -  11 pm for the folks on the 'mainland'.  The race on Sunday starts at 8 pm UK time.

 

I'll repeat the reminder;

 

Don't forget your predictions!

 

and remember,  you've got plenty of time to revise them before qualifying tomorrow.  Good luck everybody!

Normally I'd wait until the Channel 4 race highlights have at least reached the chequered flag before publishing our results. 

 

But with the race being late in (our) day, their coverage didn't start until just after midnight and the programme goes on until 1:30 am!

 

So I'm going to make the assumption that anyone who is watching the Ch4 coverage and doesn't want to know the race results is NOT browsing the web at the same time!

 

But if anybody is watching the Ch4 coverage, doesn't want to know the results,  and is reading this,  then ? STOP NOW! ?

John S holds on to his top spot in the table, and Chris holds on to second.  Iqon's 3rd place today is enough to move him up to 3rd overall,  displacing Tony to 4th.  

 

Charles also moves up a place,  to 5th at the expense of Glenn who slips to 6th.  There are no other place changes today.

 

Next race is in 2 weeks time in Mexico with Brazil and Qatar on the next 2 Sundays.  Don't forget your predictions!

A good race I thought.

Expensive mistake on my part this week as I know I did my predictions Saturday morning but obviously didn't save them as all have been marked as empty on the Fantasygp site. First time that has happened to me. Definteley would have had 2 possibly 3 right so a lot of points lost.

Well, each time I feel I managed an acceptable result, John S even scores better. At a lot of occasions - if not every time - this season.

 

I come to think that our respective teams must be quite 'similar' - ie a few of our cars and/or drivers must be common - but then he 's a lot better with his predictions...

 

I guess I will end as a genuine 'Poulidor' or John's 'support act' as Charles P calls it...
