Roger Cox 1
But the box says displacement 32cc, so is it 26 or 32 ? I know it's a cheap gas variant (why I bought it !) but even so, it is very noisy. Does anybody know if another muffler is available for this model ? Thanks roger
John Privett
Maybe they use the same box for other Turnigy engines and this one is mis-labelled? The only way to be certain would be to measure the bore and stroke. The specs on the HK site list the bore and stroke as 34x28mm which corresponds to 25.4cc. As for the noise, it's a common 'problem' with cheap Chinese petrol engines. The muffler is cheap and inefficient to keep the price down, people are then often reluctant to pay the price that a decent muffler costs as it practically doubles the cost of their bargain engine... Roger Cox 1
Thanks for that John, thought that might be the case although I may have considered something from Hobbyking that calls itself a Pitts Muffler for a 26cc engine (£27.00) but doesn't say if it will fit the Turnigy - I'll have to contact them Roger
