What star sign are you? Is there a trend with flyers?

It's a long time since I last shot (used to shoot small-bore target rifle) but one of the main factors in whether somebody should shoot left or right handed is which is their dominant eye. Though in practice it seems that most right-handed people have a dominant right eye and similarly for left-handers. But a right-handed person with a dominant left eye may be better shooting left-handed.

That's supposed to be due to the age differential - up to the extreme case of those born at the end of the summer holidays and those at the beginning of the school year, of almost a year. For example, I was over 5 when I first went to school and my O levels were done, assessed and the results distributed well before my 16th birthday. Some of my classmates had started school at 4 1/2 and had their 16th birthdays soon after resuming the 5th year (year 11 in the modern parlance).

That's always been my excuse!

Yes its due very simply to the age difference. Its interesting that it does not relate to when you started school, ie September, January etc., but is linked to maturity, and surprise surprise, boys tend to have a wider ability difference due to age, especially in English.

When I was in the army, you always had to fire right handed because of the way spent cartridges were ejected.... but then that was with real guns.cheeky

He he we're well off topic now. Beth will be hopping up and down!
