Cliff Bastow
Having broken another prop on my Durafly Spifire MK24 and finding them becoming hard to find and pricey, I was wondering if anyone has done a two bladed conversion and what size to use? My model is on the old 4 bladed set up and not the newer 5 bladed one. Many thanks in advance. Cliff.
Geoff S
4 bladed props are a pain and a nose over, even a relatively gentle one, often breaks a blade because there's always one near the ground. I replaced the motor on mine and fitted a 2 bladed prop. Can't remember which motor I chose and the model is inaccessible right now, plus I'm supposed to be packing our van for trip which will eventually take us to the Nats Geoff
Denis Watkins
Question is, the diameter and ground clearance We add one inch of pitch or diameter for each blade reduction So a two blade comparable, with same ground clearance would be approx 2 inch more pitch And the resulting watts measurements need to be done
