Paul Johnson 4
Hi Guys, I thought I'd help DD out and Start the thread early. This will be a prototype build of Richard Wills BF 109. If enough people show enough interest he will do a small batch but this will depend on numbers so if you know of Richards designs and want one, keep checking back as Dwain Dibbly will be leading the charge as he is due to get the prototype kit very soon. Dwain Dibley.
I will continue with a theme and go with this scheme if I can get away with it. Got the paint etc.... Plus the FMS one came in this scheme so a direct comparison will be easy. D.D.

RICHARD WILLS
Ive always been fascinated by the 109 . So many different variants . You would be hard pressed to find a more menacing aircraft . Especially some of the last ones . This would be a contender for me .

Glynn
As usual I will offer custom decals for the build, Paul you mentioned one you were interested in, can you send me a picture of it. We already do a set for White "11" of 1./JG 27 Pilot Ofw. Albert ESPENLAUB. So if you want something different just ask Richard and we will do our best to accommodate. Flyer
After missing out before, I think I may have to take the plunge. Which glow engines are suitable? Look forward to following this with interest. Cheers Ade
Dwain Dibley.
I would think a .52 FS would do it. D.D.
RICHARD WILLS
95% will go electric for good reason . Having said that , and given that there is so little work in the rest of the kit , it would not be a difficult job to fit an IC motor . I am not going to be offering any IC versions though , so it will be down to you . An SC52FS or similar would be ideal. What I would say is that only the 109E is feasible in IC from since we will produce an aluminium spinner for that version . The F/G version will be three bladed plastic and not suitable for IC , The kit is really an answer to the FMS 109 which is very expensive in this country and does not offer the structural integrity or bad weather capability of a traditional hard skinned model . Jon H
A 50 4 stroke or 40 2 stroke should do it. Although a 2 stroke would be sacrilege! I have some small 4 strokes kicking about and am tempted myself
peter harvey 1
Can,t wait to see the build, electric with a sound system seems an easier build, will it play Ride of the Valkeries Peter

Daithi O Buitigh
One odd thing that almost everyone misses is that the Gustav (but not the Emil or Fritz) had a cambered tailfin (a sort of thin Clark Y section) to try to ease the tendency to ground loop. I suppose it would be too much to ask (and save a lot of short fingers after sanding a fin) Anyway - I'm interested
Bucksboy
Here is a snap of my long since departed Brian Taylor 109, so good I'm building another. There's always room for another quick build version though. I posted in the other thread, if this goes to kit form, please count me as a definite. Ron Gray
After seeing those pics from Richard I’ve just got to add my name to the list for a kit.
Goose is the real hero
Go on then Richard, I will have one. The Spitfire, Hurricane and 110 are getting lonely all by themselves in my loft....
Daithi O Buitigh
Just to set the mood. The 109 even had its own song (alright, the clips are mainly the Ha 1112s from the BoB film but the song is original)
