e4c90258-0b92-4ade-9838-c415b1449e56.jpegAs mentioned in my other posting about “Ebenezer” time has been tight but I have managed to scratch together another quick Depron build, a Gloster Javelin FAW8/9 profile job using two of Eric Strefford’s excellent little edfs, as used in the P59 Airacomet, also as a pair in that one and a single one in each of the profile Hawk and F35, also created by Eric. Looking forward to some test flying at Shawbury on Sunday, fingers crossed!7fb170b0-18e1-4a13-ba4f-e876be16172a.jpeg

When I can’t get them to fly no.1 son invariably does and makes me look silly. (Not difficult)! I have glide tested it outside though and it does glide very well, long and flat. It only weighs 58 gms. complete with a 3.7v 300mah 70C Lipo, so it is promising. Because it is profile, the “sabrina” actually reflects a pair (appropriate!) of external fuel tanks that were made a permanent feature of the plane to cure a limited duration problem. The “sabrinas” on the Hunter were designed to catch cartridge cases from the 30 mm Aden guns if I remember rightly, to prevent them damaging the fuselage?

My profile Depron Javelin with two mini edfs is intended for indoors, but in the still air it flew really well and looks very good in the air. Shortly after I had flattened two batteries and put them on charge, I had two more with BipeOne, during the second of which it suddenly clouded over, the wind blew up and it started to rain heavily.! I managed to get it down fortunately,67a4adcb-0727-47a2-9f83-e2410503f78c.jpeg
