Cliff 1959
A dusting off for my vintage Veron Big Impala on Dartmoor yesterday, I've tried two versions of this video, one with commentary and one with music ... enjoy!
Robert whitaker
hi when you say " big impala" is the whole plane bigger or just the wing? i used to fly an impala when i was new to sloping in the mid 70's i also had a "big wing" for it aswell. this was another kit so I had a standard impala with a larger wing Taa bob
Cliff 1959
Hi Bob, good question, I think it was just the wing that was bigger but measuring the fuselage it's approximately 46in in length, if you have a plan to measure.

Phil Green
Yours is definitely a 'Big Impala' Cliff - it was an entirely different design to the 'Impala', longer & more slender, with a larger span with innovative plastic moulded wing ribs. Standard Impala fus length is about 35" and 52" span. My fave Impala is my 75% version (on the right with the Orbit reeds) Cheers Phil Edited By Phil Green on 02/01/2021 14:36:
Cliff 1959
Wing ribs AND fuselage formers Phil, quite advanced for the time 👍 Edited By Cliff 1959 on 02/01/2021 17:48:
