Charlie Hayden
But Andy, look at the quality and detail of your build.
Andy Hall
I'm happy with it so far. Very time consuming making all of the parts but lazer cutting seems cheating, at least with this one. The biggest question so far is whether I fit the wing servos flat, not removable and less visible, or vertical with the top sticking out. Andy Hall
Still moving..... just not quickly..... perhaps be ready by summer. Currently trial fitting the main fuselage parts before removing the paper templates and glueing.
Andy Hall
OK, can anybody give me a bit of advice on the landing gear struts. The detail around this area seems a little vague. There's a note on the drawing about an inverted V that perhaps passes through the underside of the fuselage and connects to the twin 1/16" laminations of ply on the former. What is that talking about ? First time I've made this kind of arrangement and with sketchy detail, I can see how the area would be strong enough (although it obviously must be). Cheers...... Andy Hall
The amount of detail makes it look pretty. Not sure how the landing gear is going to attach, not much detail on the plan. The rigging has also got me scratching my head. Shouldn't be too difficult, just not done a biplane before.
Glenn Ryan
I don't get on here very often so I've missed this build thread. The Avian is looking sensational. Just checking on the progress of it?
