Peter Etherington 1
Hi, dont know anything about the black art of esc`s but succeeded in blowing the black wire of my 45A W/BEC esc, went on Hobbykings site to buy a new one and the dont supply them any more. Any idea for an equivilent please. It came out of my Grass hopper which has a 36-48 700v outrunner in it. Many thanks, Peter
Dwain Dibley.
You best bet is to look at 4-MAX, and even give them a bell. They are very good and will help you. D.D.
FlyinBrian
I have used a few Turnigy "Plush" ESCs and they seem v good
Capt Kremen
As often as is possible and practical, I secure my over spec. required ESC underneath with the heatsink open to the airflow as in this picture:
Simon Chaddock
Peter Apart from size and cost there is no harm in using an over sped ESC sat a 60A. How many cells (volts) are you using? Some ESCs are only good for 3s. Put 4s on such at it will blow. Perhaps more important is why did the old ESC blew. If it was caused by another fault somewhere then the new one may get blown as well. Peter Etherington 1
I just plugged in the battery then the esc into the receiver and the black wire of the esc blew. Maybe I got the esc plug the wrong way round. The battery is a T2200 and the radio is a TGY-16 the motor is a 36-48 700kv out runner. I bought this from new a couple of years ago and have never used it. Hobbyking Grasshopper L1
